I reckon if there is 1 cruiser-weight in the world that Enzo and Haye genuinly are frightened of, its Hide.

Hell, even the likes of Danny Williams look like startled bunnies when someone mentions his name.

Especially if you hide in his wardrobe at night and jump out screaming "Herbie Hide!!!!!" at 4am

In fairness it scairs me when you do that.. I've meaning to ask you to stop by the way.

I don't buy that you would go into a fight with JMM and then move up to heavyweight but be scaired of a big punching cruzer who's chin is suspect and hasn't fought anyone good for 8 years.

I think Haye is game to get in there with anyone and would have to fancy himself  to spark Herbie early.

Unless Herbie has his Tazer with him...

Herbie has got a rep of a bit of a nut tho, and is the sort of fella u feel uneasy around.

The Norwich man has a punchers chance against anyone and will def be dangerous early on, esp as both Haye and Macca have suspect chins as well.

Of course Hide won't be favorite but they are fights I would pay to watch.

Danny Williams used to refuse to spar with him

Is Herbie likely to come back to Britain though? Last I heard, he was a wanted man. And not only by the law.....

Let's face it. Herbie would want no part of David or Enzo. He only ever wanted to be in against those he could intimidate.

please explain this further.

also remember how 19 stone Danny Williams and Audley Harrison were certainly intimidated by Hide and aged 23 he went toe to toe with Riddick Bowe at the height of Bowe's powers

Audley is hardly Sonny Liston. Herbie was the one who lost the plot at the Klitschko presser when Danny was also there, and did a fair impression of a man consumed by fear. This is the same Herbie who declined an offer from Glenn McCrory to sort out a difference of opinion with fists. The same Herbie who went mad at th Audley fight and the same guy who swallowed against Bowe.

I think Herbie goes into shock when he's hit with a good shot, don't know if its a physical reaction or a mental one.

He gets the wide eye's and panic sets in. Kind of like when someone gets a smack on a saturday night , suddenly they think they might get hurt.

Blimey you were actually there, wow!

If only there was some medium that would enable sewer-dwellers like myself to view fights and make up out own minds about such events.

I wish that pudendum Logie Baird would get a move on!

herbie hide no chin? are you crazy or just plain stupid

Post by jezreel »

As a friend and a fan of herbie hide i am tired of hearing all of you talk about him having no chin. klitchko 6'7 260, riddick bowe 6'5 250, chingangu himself was 235 when he hit hide off a clinch(look at rematch hide 1st round knockout.) And when hide fought these guys he was a blown up 215, I lived up the street from him, and occasionaly went to the gym with him in vegas and he chills at 210 without working out. So dont talk about a chin when he is fighting giants. The man is not only the hardest hitting cruiser now(riddick bowe's comment on hide being the hardest hitting fighter he ever fought) but he also has the fastest one punch speed. That combined with what will suprise these guys(his chin will hold up to any punch in there arsenal) is enough to let him go out on a blaze of glory unifying the cruiserwieght titles.
