All boxers can punch, and all boxers can knock you out as most people who actually box will tell......that's why you respect every opponent and that's why you have a guard (for the most part), them that don't have a guard tend to be talented enough to get away with it.

People who say Limond can't punch don't know what they're talking about and should be recognised as such. IMO :TU:
Well then I'm glad I'm not one of them :TU:

I did a lot of sparring when I was younger and found , to some degree, all of the blows I shipped caused me discomfort - especially from the bigger guys in the gym. Ironicly the punches started to hurt more when I stopped being scared. And I never once met anyone in there who I would call a "light puncher".

It's been said that Limond is a light puncher but it didn't look like it to me at any stage in that contest.
alrite m8 ppl who say willie's a light puncher are way off the mark. they look at his record and see 9 ko's but dont realise willies fought heavier ppl just to get a fight. he once fought marcus portman whos the current wbf light middle champ! :TU:

Hi Kev, I think poeple mean Willie is a lighter puncher compared to say Thaxton or Earl not that his punches dont hurt, Im sure they do - Can you give us a bit of insight as to why his corner pulled him out, was he complaining to them about his ear? - It did look as though Willie may have had problems breathing because his nose was bleeding badly - Anyway lets hope he gets back into things again and puts the fight behind him - It was a contraversial win so I, and I expect a lot of others too, would like to see them do it again sometime. i said as much at the time...
i thought limonds jaw didnt look too bad after the fight when he was talking but i remember it was announced as suspected broken jaw ?...
when you are hyped after a bout like that you can quite easily think an injury is worse than it - when i played rugby myself you'd get some clatters and think you'd done yourself a mischief only for it not too be too bad after a shower and a cup of tea..

i thought willie limond won the fight by ko and posted that on here after the bout - suprised me how few people mentioned the knock down and the count and khan going back down

The count seemed a second or so long and I wonder whether the referee, in a private moment, might admit that he froze at the possibility that he might actually have to wave it off. Having said that, we're definitely not into travesty of justice territory here, and I think whatever the status regarding his injuries were, it was a very good stoppage by his corner.
