Round 4

Francis throws his right for once. Still a dire fight.

Paul McCloskey stops Tontchev in 4. Tontchev didn't throw more than 15 punches in any round I think. Pretty much a sparring session for McCloskey but he looked good anyway. Bit like a southpaw Carl Froch but with a better defence and less power.

In Switzerland they are in round 2 of Platov vs Williams. Its a slug ferst a the moment, Platov is badly cut and he is desperatly trying to stop Williams before the doctor will stop on on cuts.

The Platov corner says they will give Platov 1 round to stop Williams.

Just when you think his career is fading, he comes up with something like this!

He's not done yet...
Its been declared a no decision due to accidental headbut. Good performance in the main from Danny but disappointing result - he deserved better.

What a wild fight, the first round was bombs away. Danny stunned Platov only to get immediately caught himself when he opened up, and almost stopped. Platov was throwing bombs alll night. Great opener.

The accidental headbut in the 2nd produced a shocking looking cut, and Platov dropped to a knee as he couldn't see through the blood.

He must have stunned and hurt Dan about 5 or 6 times over the 4 rounds, but DW hung in there, always looking for the counter bomb, and deserved to keep his career alive in the end. He really hurt Platov in the 3rd I think, with an uppercut.

Eastman just got robbed.

I scored it 96-94 in his favour but the ref gave it to Duddy by the same score.

Yes Eastman was robbed, he landed the cleaner shots all night, Duddy landed bout 20 clean shots all night. Farcical how big fights can still be scored by biased refs...
