I think Thaxton will probably come next up, and Khan will win comfortably - I haven't been impressed with JT's last couple and think Khan will just be too good.
In truth, I think the best thing for his long term development would be for Warren to source a couple of very good but not great Mexicans to show him a thing or two - those are the guys, or rather the type of guys, who he will fight at the top so he could do with something to show him the way now. Especially as Brit fighters seem in awe of him...

Sounds like a plan. I think ideallly he wouldn't fight for a world title for another 2 years or so. But he keeps banging on about that record.

I think if he gets the EBU title he can use that as a pretxt to get some rugged Easten Europeans out to fight him.

A lot of fighters would look awful against Stewart because of his height and reach - Having said that Jon was looking to take him out with one punch rather than pick up rounds with the skillful boxing he is capable of - Khan is in a rush so why not Jon Thaxton next - Until he has beaten Thaxton who holds the British title he is not entitled to say he is the best in Britain although Khan is already claiming the number one spot - If he
is the best and we are to take him seriously about a world title bring on Thaxton.

Good point... and that set back against aMichael Gomez-type fighter is Oisin Fagan, the Irish kid that fights in the US. I think he can upset Khan and I heard there was talk already about this fight.

I still think a lot depends on how he performs in each fight. He won well enough against Earl to make me think he's ready for Thaxton next, so if he wins well enough against Thaxton I'd have no qualms about putting him in with Romanov after that. I'd still leave it about another 5 fights (at least) before he fights for a world title though, unless he looks amazing in his next few fights.

I really think Khan needs to forget about this mini-ambition to get the record...
Should take his time
