[quote="Box Office"]Looking at the UK PPV numbers, there is more potential $$$$ in a domestic blockbuster , than a fight with that Italian hair dresser in New York. American PPV would be a joke for that fight now that Hatton has lost and P.M. is not a big star. quote]
UK PPV would'nt be that great for Hatton/Witter after the Hatton/Mayweather fight either.
A lot tuned in expecting "our boy" to smash the Yank and p4p number 1 and hope to witness a great night for British sport.Did'nt quite work out like that.
Witter would'nt pull in hardly any sells, and Hattons would diminish greatly after the Mayweather fight.
In terms of $$$, Hatton can make just as much(and probably more)fighting the likes of Malignaggi than he could Witter.
The only person that would stand to earn a considerable amount more than usual would be Witter.

Followed by Haye/Macca? - A bit like your Christmas wish list - The reality pal is its another pair of socks and some Lidl aftershave - None of these fights will happen.

The Hattons are at least talking about fighting Witter at some stage now. Whether it is trying to ease the 'ducking' claims or genuine desire for the fight we dont know. Press releases like this dont hurt Witters cause.
Who 140 or below is going to make a bigger PPV than Witter? There is no one other than Pacquiao. Juan Diaz is being mentioned too. These are bullshit fights because they are not 140lbers.
Hatton-Witter is a fight boxing has waited for since 2000. Its clear these 2 have been top5 in the world 140lbers for that period.
If a promoted can't sell Hatton-Witter they need to find a new job its an easy sell - Rivallry, Bad Blood, Best of British, slick switch counter hitter against pressure figher, WBC Champ against Ring Champ.
Malignaggi/Tores/Rees/Diaz are all lesser fighters end of story
Believe if or not Real Fans create hype that makes fights big and NO FIGHT AT 140 IS AS BIG AS WITTER-HATTON

Hatton/Witter is the best fight they could make and with so few options it should be top of the list but we all know it isnt - I will fight you when I am good and ready isnt Hattons best move, WITTER SHOULD BE NEXT.

British Boxing will always remember Hatton for the following.
In no particular order,
1)The beat down from Mayweather
2)Ducking Witter.
3)Beating an old KT
4)Losing his last fight
5)Being overrated.

Ricky Hatton stop ducking Junior Witter

Thats an excellent montage that highlights Rickys inconsistencies on Junior Witter. In my eyes shying away from a contest with your arch-rival is a cardinal sin in boxing

This is a good video- we need this " Been-Eubank" style rivalry, its a great way to build up a fight, too, and what a clash of personalities! This fight HAS to go ahead. It would be a crime if it didn't, especially if one of them lost again in the meantime.
