Green will be paying top $$$$ to have the judges on his side when he fights Garay. As there is no way he will be KOing Garay infact I wouldnt be shocked if Green losess this one.
He can always fall back on money man Mundine!.

According to the WBA Garay is no 1 contender, so he is the next victim.

I would like to hear your thoughts on Danny s mandatory defense against Hernan Garay...i have seen him twice live on telly when he fought Zsolt Erdei...and gave Erdei a very tough fight...one fight he even did win, but you know...the judges in Europe...
well, looking forward to your comments, thoughts!
When was this annouced?
That was on a hungarian boxing link..., but it was surely publishet around the world....
i am pretty sure, it is true...just look it up...

GREEN MACHINE PROMOTIONS ARE TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED TO ANNOUNCE THE FIGHT AGAINST GARAY. Be interesting to see if thy have asked Garay to step aside for a unification bout with Erdei. They definately have the finances to get Erdei to Perth. With everything else happening in the next 2 months in the hvy wt division it would be a good move.

I actually haven't heard anything from the Green camp for a while...
I bet Danny has been catching up on some surfing

Should be a competitive fight. Hopefully Green can win by KO and set up some big fights overseas.

Be cautios with underestimating Garay... Green Machine has heart and power, but Garay is also a pressure fighter... I hope dthe Erdei would meet Green Machine but it seems the next is the mandatory...

Garay seems to be tough as well. This should be a good fight. If it has a half decent undercard I'll fork out the cash for the ppv.

he is world champ ben, no need to go overseas! someone wants to take the title, they should come to green- eg garay. thats the benefit of being a world champ.

fans like to see the best fight each other. Danny may have to travel for that to happen. He usually does good promotions in WA, but I don't want people to talk about him as a 'stay at home' champ, ironically like they do/did Beyer.

Maybe Green's people can put up more money than any Argentinian promoter. Argentina has a history of government changes at gunpoint and poor management.

sorry guys a posted this topic on "current scene" when I heard it announced yesterday...there is a few interesting comments.
I personally would have liked to see Greeny and Erdei. From what I understand those negotiations were on but the wba and Garay wanted this fight to go ahead. I understand Garay is powerful and not alot else. Danny does like to brawl when he gets the chance but he is pretty level headed now under Ismail. Fingers crossed he gets the victory and after the other light heavyweight champs have their bouts in April he can get a crack at a unification bout with one of them.....even if it means travelling BUT Green Machine Promotions are very financial

There is a lot of money in Western Australia. Apart from the massive amounts of iron ore in the Hammersley area it is a major gold producer and has one of the world's richest diamond pipes.

Stating the obvious, and Green has some very well off sponsors.

This is a good fight. Danny Green is facing the highest rated challenger in the WBA. Garay is a good opponent, no question.
Isn't it great to see one of Australia's Title holder fight a good challenger... I think you know what I'm getting at

its good and seemingly the fact he is looking to fight another beltholder and highly ranked fighter after satisfying his mandatory requirement(and hopefully does)makes it even better. But first things first-lets hope he beats Garay then on to Erdei. If it happens that would be awesome.

Too true. Nobody, especially Greeny should be looking past Garay.
