Got 5/1. I thought the fighter was very hard to score. I know the US team had ngoudjo winning, but the majority of the guys on boxrec posting live went for Malignaggi.

I think it could have gone either way, but was hoping for Ngoudjo to win...

Ngougjo won the fight. If your lenient to pauli the fight is a draw. Boxing stinks of shit. House fighters being gifted decisions all the time. If the non -house fighter doesnt win by KO or a clear hammering he never gets JUSTICE. I hope and pray all non-house fighters win and the promoters go bankrupt for being corrupt. AND the judges also.

regarding Ndou...I thought he beat Sharmbah Mitchell, and he stopped Ben Rabah in a great fight. Really thought Ndou would have done what Ngoudjo did to Malignaggi, with a bit more savvy and doggedness.

Missed the fight but it sounds like Malignaggi shit the bed. A shame too as he must've made a load of new fans with his performance against N'dou. Ideally I'd love to see Witter unify with Paulie, whilst Hatton fights Rees or Torres, seems like Witter's best chance of goading Hatton into signing that contract.

No wonder good fighters leave the sport. How can they put up with House fighter, bad decision , corrupt judging bullshit.

Ndou vs Mitchell is one "controvesial" fight in which I really failed to see the controvesy. I thought Mitchell won by a wider margin than Witter or Cotto.

I wouldn't mind seeing Witter vs Ngoudjo - style wise Ngoudjo could be very wrong for Witter.

Well its a losing defense then. I think this means result (forget the actual decision) that Castillo is still either #2 or #3 in the devision.

You're probably right. Castillo is getting on in years now but he should still have enough in the tank to beat the likes of Gavin Rees. Castillo is due another fight mind.

Don't think Witter will KO Paulie - thats why I think its still a fascinating fight.

I'm not so sure Witter V Malignaggi would as fascinating as a boring stand off chess match. I didn't realise there was a fight on last night, will have to wait for the flipping midnight replay on Wednesday now to catch this one

I mean fascinating to predict.... Malignaggi was poor last night, but still stylewise is wrong for Witter. He is still fit, tough and fast.

Its a tough one to call.

If Malignaggi has anything about him he should travel to Europe to face Junior Witter and prove that he is "the best in the world at 140lbs" (that he always proclaims) instead of relying on a supposedly "honourable" loss to a badly weight-drained Miguel Cotto and home-town decisions to keep his reputation/personal victim-list intact.

I think they said on the commentary that HN's last 5 fights have gone the distance. He's clearly not a big puncher, nor can he punch like Hatton or Witter. Yet when he connected Mag shat it big time, started flicking his jab and looked petrified. He pushes his punches and his chin's in the air.

If HN can catch Mag then Witter and Hatton can do it harder and more often. It's no contest in my view.

On a different note, what was the crowd for the fight? Didn't look like it was a big arena at all.

Eh? If you read that article it states that Lou DiBella is thinking about putting a Hatton and Malignaggi fight on the same card in England to promote the fight. And who else could Malignaggi fight in England that wouldn't be considered a walk-over? Colin Lynes? Gavin Rees? Those fighters are a joke - even a fight against a top European in Andreas Kotelnik (when he defeats Rees) would be a massive step back for him. For me he should fight Junior Witter on the undercard of a Hatton fight at the M.E.N Arena, and if both win, then a fight in Las Vegas or the Garden in 2008 between these two would be special in my opinion.
