Was his fight after the main event, or before the main event?

Yeah, I was just asking out of curiosity - I always think its odd how people don't bother to turn up until the main event, especially in America.

Yeah, I couldn't ever justify spending £100 or whatever just to watch a single fight!

Its a bit like booking a 5 course meal and then only turning up for the main course, and leaving before pudding!

Naz's entrance in the Barrera fight was the worst Ive seen. Especially as the fight was an hour late at 6am, and he got the sh1te kicked out of him when the fight started. He looked like a complete prick from start to finish that night, from his posturing, lateness, cringeworthy ring entrance, to the one-sided beating he got from Barrera. Only saving grace for Naz was that he took the punches well and accepted defeat surprisingly gracefully

Does anyone remember Naz's Muslim prayer ritual , he used to do in-ring before fights? Apparantly he had to stop that after 9-11 because of "sensibilities" in America.

It was somewhat controversial too amongst the Muslim community, who felt that he was glamourising Islam.

yeah NAz went over the top with that, especially having "islam" printed above his backside, lol..

His last fight was in London right? And i remember he was told to not fight in the US until things got calmer due to the 9/11 drama.

i remember the delay, was the undercard any good?

I couldnt believe how NAZ fought that night, truly disappointed!

When Katsidis paused and looked to the stands for dramatic effect I couldn't help thinking that he was thinking: "Strewth! Where are all the bloody fans? I was hoping to display my talents afore the baying mob!" That gave me the giggles for about three ronuds to be honest.

Apparently Hopkins was also a big fan of his entrance in an interview I read from Thom Hauser.

I dont because I put the alarm on for 4am to make sure I caught the main fight, and sat there for 2 hours with a hangover while Naz dicked around getting into the ring. He refused to come out for the fight at first, and then came out on a trapeze in the end. It was pure farce.

Now got a bit bored at work and found this whilst searching youtube for funny ring entrances. its not boxing but made me laugh

Hamed - Barrera undercard wasn't good but Omar Sheika was in a decent fight if I remember correctly.

I couldn't stand all of the Islamic talk in the ring prior to the fight. Nothing to do with Islam iteself, I just think it's not the time or the place to be making religious announcements. Unless you give the opponent right to respond, which could make it interesting...
