To that charge I plead guilty, but only because I appreciate the beauty of a good fight. The sweet science. The only things southpaws do is throw punches backward, slap, trip on their own feet, have their head down 90% of the time, and most really can't punch. It is for the love of the sport.....no ill will, just an attempt to keep the bar raised and not lower boxing to the level of MMA,UFC, WEC.....etc,etc,etc...... :TU: :TU:

There is no proof whatsoever that lefthanders lack the co-ordination that right handers have, though some of them have the ability to make righthanders look uncoordinated. So what really happened Ringsider ? You say you did some amateur boxing. Did you have some problems in the ring against Southpaws ? If you did you wouldn't be the first. And if you say they were all easy opponents, then it puzzles the mind as to why you complain about them on a regular basis.

To say Hagler had speed, is a good indication that a blind man was sitting ringside calling the Hagler fights, and now has access to a computer.
Boom!

There it is! The double-whammy! I tried to forewarn you, Tomato-Can, but you had to go & tempt fate. Now I can only assume you've been vaporised into what amounts to a pile of ashes on the floor. That'll learn ya.

This is Mrs. Can and I don't appreciate the mess ringsider made of my husband. Now I have to spend the better part of the afternoon sweeping what's left of him up.

So you are a Mr.? And you were or are married to a man? Who is now a pile of ashes....... That is more distressing than this southpaw stuff.

I think hagler a bit too quick for Walker. a couple of good hard jabs to the face will tame him the way he did to Sibbo. Hagler too skilled for this guy.

computer's fear me. Over the years I have tossed a few out skyscraper windows. So based on this rep, a computer will get back to business at the hint that I might be dropping by.

For the briefest of moments I considered explaining the difference between an editor and a moderator and how once a post has been quoted how it can't be changed and then I remembered what my father used to tell about banging one's head against the wall and how that was a good thing to do because it feels good when you stop and.........

Pretty long sentence, huh? :D

Usually most people pick the fighter more distant in the past over the more contemporary, but that ain't the case here: Haggler by UD

Whoa, just one second. "...A couple of good, hard jabs to the face will tame him..."

C'mon, mate. A couple of good, hard surface-to-air missiles to the face wouldn't tame Walker. Maybe Hagler'd win, maybe he wouldn't, but no way does he tame Walker.

Hagler by TKO on cuts or by decision...Too good of a fighter :TU: :TU: :TU:
Let's see here

Hagler had to work hard to get a decision over fat, old, overweight LIGHTWEIGHT Roberto Duran.

Mickey Walker beat light heavyweight champions Mike McTigue (KO 1) and Paul Berlenbach and lost a split decision to Tommy Loughran for the light heavyweight title title.

Mickey Walker beat heavyweights Johnny Risko (194 lb), Paulino Uzcudun (197 lb), King Levinsky (195 lb), Bearcat Wright (210 lb)

and fought a draw with Jack Sharkey (198 lb).

How long would fat, old, overweight LIGHTWEIGHT Roberto Duran have lasted against Mickey Walker?

Keep the pathetic and totally incompetent Bert Sugar-Thomas Hauser-Ken Burns clueless crap coming, Elmer.

Walker had lots of skill along with his aggression . . .to compare him to Hamsho or Antuofermo is just plain wrong.

This would be a BRUTAL war and could go to either man. Walker might have the edge due to his superior punching power.
Punching power would not be an issue versus Hagler: he had one of the finest chins ever & it's extremely unlikely that ANY MW would have KO'd Hagler during the normal course of a boxing match.

Punching power is an issue with ANYBODY- even for the iron chinned.

Walker may not KO Marvin, but he has the power to earn his respect, which might dictate the bout.
