Sorry Tell, Oral is above the kneck, Head and the bodys ability to balance it, posture. Its a balancing act between the Coycix and feet finding the centre of gravity.
I'm going to disagree. Joe's problems are from injuries to the metacarpal joints; there's no effective way to prevent this. Performing press-ups on your knuckles is the standard approach, but this will only strengthen skin, the underlying bones are always prone to dislocation. As mentioned: hand wraps are the thing which would've helped the younger JC. He's never broken a wrist.Kettlebell warrior wrote:I feel confident enough in my methods to say if Joe had performed specific hand and wrist training exercises in the earlier years of his career, he would not have suffered the hand problems he has.
I've done quite a bit of reading on kettlebells, and as far as I can tell from what I've read, there's nothing particularly unique about them. They are just a form of asymetric hand weight. There's nothing magical about them, they are just easily portable, and their small size means they can be moved around the body in various planes.Grilling Machine wrote:I'm going to disagree. Don't take this the wrong way: I do think the Kettlebell has its place for certain athletes. In my own experience of weights and natural resistance work, I can punch a bit harder using weights, but personally feel they affect arm flexibility; punches become increasingly linear. For thin guys like me who are never going to be an Earnie Shavers, that agility is paramount in avoiding a hiding.
I'd happily recommend a Kettlebell to anyone wanting to improve core strength.
