Looking at the boxrec LWW top ten, it seems that Hatton's only real opponent is Witter.

Don't moan about it, vote with your feet. He will expect, no need, a 35k plus crowd to make a football stadium work and as money is his God and if this fails he will have no option but to fight Witter if he is serious about glory and not just cash, hasn't he got enough already? Simple action is required, don't buy a ticket and he may get the message.
Witter should also kick his promter into touch too. Why is he so obsessed with Thaxton fighting Khan when the bigger money and prestige would be in getting Witter a fight with Hatton.
Why doesn't Hennessy stop taking out adverts and make Hatton an offer he can't refuse. He has Sky and he has, allegedy HBO and even a little pinkie in the door at ITV. He also claims he has a 'partnership' with Golden Boy, who claim they have Hatton. The boot fits all round. Hennessy is in a far stronger position than Hatton or indeed the puppet Promoter he is looking to employ on the cheap, to front his latest assault on the UK economy, so why doesn't he just do it?
Hennessy should dangle the carrot if, for nothing else, than to show Witter he is his PROMOTER in more tha just name.
Failing that, if you don't like the fight he's chisen - don't go and don't watch it - it's a free country and no gate and not viewers may force a rethink at Planet Hatton. Carpets!

Is that what happened with all those wank Joe Calzaghe "fights" you boys kept trying to serve up for the first 8 years of his title reign? As soon as you upped the quality of his foes Joe went from zero and borderline working men's clubs to national hero and stadiums...

If you add up the total paid attendances of Calzaghe and Hatton, Calzaghe wins hands down, easily. Where did Hatton start or can't you remember that far back? I hate to surprsie you, but Hatton didn't make his debut against neither Tszyu or Mayweather. I bet you even support Chelsea.

I know enough. I know it took Warren 9 years - 9! - before Joe Public cared about Joe C. I know I was at the Sobat and Thornberry and other fights along with only 2000 other people. I know Warren always put Calzaghe's fights on card also featuring Naseem Hamed and Ricky Hatton because by himself Joe C wasn't a draw for YEARS.
I also know Joe is prob the best UK fighter in 50years, is a likable, good-looking fella who is in exciting fights who should have been a star selling out big venues YEARS ago if Frank had done a better job promoting him and getting him in fights people could care about.
10 years as champ before Joe could sell an arena out? Not a great effort, mate.

As Nigel Benn said, JC simply wasnt active enough to sustain public interest.. he says if he only fought Logan in 88 and only fought Watson in 89 and only fought Eubank in 90 and only fought Lou Gent in 93 and no other fights then he wouldnt have sold-out a bus shelter or had any tv.. he thinks JC could have been having these fights yrs and yrs ago if he was busier..

Like Hatton.. he had about 30 fights in four yrs or something.. while JC had had about six or seven.. thats why he overtook him..

Joe has overtaken Hatton now, though, in everyway.
I smell the public and esp press are ready to turn on Team Hatton. This Lacanto fight is nothing short of a heist.
