jomothepure wrote:Any word on how Billy got on yesterday? I see Belsahw's fighting on Friday apparently, and also a US card the following week. One or other is surely off? Dave Ferguson also down to fight on March 20th. Is that really going ahead? Ibbs proved this weekend you might be supposed to win, but might not.

I vote for Audley as the replacement.
Just checked Daily Echo website and nothing on there, or BoxRec, or BBN.

I hope it went okay.

Belshaw is fighting in Nottingham on Friday and is no longer on the Boston bill. He see scheduled for another Maloney FNFN on 18th April but nothing set in stone yet.

Surprised Danny Williams didn't enter can see him doing well in it. As someone already said Mark Morgan would be a good choice if there are spaces left.

These heavyweight 'tournaments' used to be rife, most famously at the old World Sporting Club in London. Danny McAlinden sparked Richard Dunn in one round in such an event in 1969.

Williams is eyeing up Toney in a battle of the kipling (not rudyard) fanatics, isn't he?

No time for such frivolities as this tournament if a fight with Lights Out is in the off'ing!

I'm definitely going to this! I haven't got the tickets, but my brother's girlfriend works for Barry Hearn, and she's happy to sort it.

Belshaw wasn't on the HW compo bill. Not that he had been told anyway, his name was mentioned on a few forums but he wasnt approached about it by Hearns.

And yeah lost on points tonight. 59-58 (At least thats what my txt msg from the corner read)

Some bloke called BEN sumfink has been lined up as a reserve....he just drew over 4 with howard daley !!!!!!

ive got my tix but im concerned that the quality of this show is going to dip.

we need to focus more on the prospects like dolan, millarvie and rogan

as for the other fighters whats the point of sum of them ?

we need Kenna, jegeni, Krence, .....wheres big carl baker gone ?

Is Kevin Evans turning pro Marc?

Now that would be a good addition to the domestic heavyweight ranks! :box:

I don't think he will, he just felt picking up 25k for a nights work was well worth it seeing as he had beaten Dolan and the Scotsman before.
He owns a gym now and would be fit to fight at a moments notice.
Doing three 3x3's in a night would suit him too because he has had that experience in the amateurs

That will be Ben Harding then who I drew with a week last friday. He is a former aba finalist and no mug. Matchroom will put on whoever they want on the show if the fighters want to fight. You say whats the point of the other fighters but it takes two to make a fight pal and it takes guts to get in there especially if you are the underdog who is expected to get KTFO'd. I've put my name forward for the event and if I get on it due to anyone pulling out I promise you will get your moneys worth. :box:
