I am siding with Enzo the closer the fight approachs.
Haye has been talking about an early KO ever since the fight has been made. As much I would like to think that this a cleve ploy to lull Enzo into a false sense of secruity, it appears that he beleives its going to be an easy nights work. This does not bode well.
Enzo will be up for this like none of his other fights, and despite me wanting Haye to win, I think it will be Enzo's fight possibly by stoppage around the 10th.
If Fragomenni had Haye on the back foot a bigger fitter Macranelli definitley will.
As an aside, how can Warren state that "Haye can't go around calling himself the undisputed champ when my guy has a title?" Its pure hypocrisy.
He called Hatton undisputed champ when he beat Tyszu for the IBF title, and Calzaghe for holding 3 of the big four belts.
Hayes situation was no different to Rickys or Joes after they won their belts. i.e Bell was the undisputed champ but got stripped of the IBF before surrendering the WBC and WBA to Mormeck.

Haye beat the #1 at the weight and is defending against the #3 in the division (who happens to be the #2 puncher). This is how it should be done.
Frago/Mormeck and Enzo are very different fighters. Somehow I don't see Enzo rolling under Haye's jab and trying to trap him on the ropes. I think it will be fought more in the middle of the ring between two tall fighters with excellent outside skills.

He shouldn't of bodybulded his way to Heavyweight so soon, Booth says In Boxig Monthly he wants Haye even heavier once he does fight at HW.
Against Mormeck he had to keep stepping back and was more flat footed.
Don't judge off opposition too easy, Mormeck's one dimensional and Enzo would of sparked him too.
Enzo is a similar size to Gurov Max and it's the first time since that Haye has fought someone like this in a serious fight. He's hardly going to be able to move away from a jab coming from fighters like Mormeck in the same way. I think for Haye to win they will be trying to counter with a straight right and hopefully that'll be all that's needed if he lands it flush. I think a lot depends on how many risks Enzo is prepared to take early.
I do worry about the Enzo Calzaghe stable though, they kinda have a sense of invisibility about them at the moment

Can't decide on this one yet, could go either way & look a mismatch either way too - as in one guys lands before the other guy gets started.
Interesting that Enzo Calzaghe is saying Macca wins, unless Haye lands early. You'd never hear him say something like that about Joe. At least he's being realistic.
Sounds like Enzo is banking on a slow start, and take weight drained DH late - reckon this could be a mistake. Both need to win ASAP I think, as both can put the other guy in serious trouble with a single shot.
So if DH starts fast, and lands that right early, it'll be curtains Enzo
Gun fight at the OK Corral.

As has been stated this could end early either way, but also i can't see Enzo waiting on the outside. He knows that is where Haye is at his most dangerous. And i feel Enzo is the better fighter on the inside.
I can see Enzo trying to nulify some of Hayes power by taking the fight closer to him, and trying to make Haye go on the backfoot. Which is where Haye can struggle.
If Enzo can do this then he can win by stoppage around the 8th or 9th.
If the fight is on the outside and Haye gets his punches off at his favourite range then i see Haye winning by KO inside of 5.
Ok so here goes my pick of those , its going to be Enzo by stoppage.
and going by my recent predictions thats the kiss of death for his chances.

Haye fought a fighter in his ELEVENTH pro contest that was better than anything ENzo has ever faced, and that doesn't even take into account Jean Marc Mormeck, who is light years ahed of anything Enzo has ever faced...to suggest Enzo has mixed in a better class than Haye is ignorant to say the least.
I favour Haye, but look forward to an exciting fight whatever happens come the night.
I said better class OVERALL - if your refering to that 44 your old american guy then I think enzo has fought better fighters - or at least fighters closer to their prime.
Who has Haye fought? JMM. Carl thompson - loss and he was considered to be shot. Fragommeni and Bonin were only european level at best and fragommeni gave Haye kittens
You know that David Haye fought Carl Thompson in the eleventh fight?
The Cat is better than anything Enzo has faced thus far.
JMM was the undiputed champion at the weight when Haye fought him, so should never be questioned.
Fragomeni and Johansen have only ever lost to Haye so far, so they are hard to gauge, but Fragomeni is European level, and could well prove to be better.
He gave Haye fits, mainly because his style was all wrong for Haye, just as Mormecks was.Haye still overcame them both though.
Please give me your view on Enzo's best opponents then?
Should be funny reading your attempts to place Mark Hobson above anything other than strictly domestic level.
Maybe you will say Dominguez was a great win(or maybe you will agree he was a good 6 years past his best)
Who know's, maybe you will even try and justify Bobby Gunn as a creditable opponent?
Thus far, Enzo has not even faced a top 10 cruiserweight(Braithwaite is in semi-retirment, and all but finished. Was a good performane by Enzo but Big Truck was not even a top 20 cruiser at the time)whereas Haye has not only faced three top 10 cruiserweights at the time he fought them(Thompson, who was top 5 at the time, Gurov and of course the then number 1 Mormeck)but he has managed to stop 2 of them.
Hell even a 34 year old Glenn Kelly was better than 90% of what Enzo has faced thus far.

Not the version Haye fought who got a gift decision against a fat Frenchy In his last fight.
Your post If over using the opposition logic, Enzo Is a world class fighter regardless of who he's fought.
Macca would of done damage to Mormeck as well but would prolong It because he likes to box and Is similar to Lennox a little bit.

Thompson was coming off a KO of Rothmann in a dramatic fight (Rothman went on to nearly beat O'Neil Bell). After Thompson's great wins over Rothmann and Haye, Thompson had nothing left.

Sorry my fault thought you were refering to someone else (ice cole).
Thompson was a warrior and the best cruiser to come out of britain ever - his from the brink win v rothmann was awsome. He also spanked Haye.
JMM - fair enough ubdisputed champ like you say.
OK here goes - give Hobson some credit. His only losses bar early career blips are to Rothmann - a world class cruiser in his prime and macrennelli, who in the first fight just lost out, so could be cosidered to have mixed above domestic level. He won every round against Firat Arslan who is now considered a top t10-15 cruiser, except for a nasty cut in the last round.
Glenn Kelly! Please he didnt throw a punch against David Haye.
Domiguez was a great win and yes he was 6 years past his best, but still a fighter that knew the ring and had mixed in good company for a long time. Maybe Enzo had a bad night at the office like Haye against Mock?
and yes hes had more than his fair share of walk overs but you can only fight whos put in front of you....

Enzo is a class fighter agreed, and he can certainly be considered a world class cruiser, but no way has he fought better opposition than Haye.
I also don't think Enzo would have beat Mormeck to be honest.

Anyone think a points win for Haye at 10/1 is worth a punt?
All this build up about the explosive power from both of them etc... Could result in a cagey, mauling affair with both afraid of getting chinned?
Unlikely but stranger things have happened...

Opposition doesn' matter for this fight though both have already proven enough to be world class.
Enzo has better boxing ability than Mormeck. Mormecks a mini tank who would eat jabs and uppercuts from Enzo before being stopped.

It's easy to say that, but Enzo has never proved he can outbox and back up someone as tough and strong as Mormeck.
I could just as easily visualise Mormeck hunting down and stopping the stand up straight Enzo.
Anyway, I'am excited by Saturday night, and can't wait to take in my first live action at the o2!
You going to the fight?

Haye never exactly back him up either, he mostly landed single heavy shots on Mormeck and keeping as much distance as possible.
Nah, watching It on Tv, better that way anyway as your view depends on your ticket going live.

I have a problem with the comment in the first post about Macca having more heart than Haye. When has he shown it? In his blood and guts matchup with the legendary Bobby Gunn?
Haye was stopped by Thompson, but was on his feet trying to fight on and beckoning Carl in.
He was cut badly against (Fraggonemi???) and pulled it out the bag.
He was dropped away from home against the best CW in the world, got up and won.
What are you talking about?

I never saw this as a 50/50 fight before the possibility arose that haye could have nightmares making 200. I don't understand why anyone thought it was a pickem fight, Haye is just soooo much the better fighter. If his weight is ok he will blow enzo away and we won't have to hear any more of this misinformed nonsense about Enzo being able to compete.
Anyone who loves this sport should be praying that David Haye wins this fight.
Spot on.

The best CW In the world wouldn't of lost to Bell then gas In the 7th and just survive the rest of the rounds to win against the same fighter.

You guys are way too dismissive of Enzo, If It was the same Enzo who fought Hobson I would agree but he's Improved since then

Macca showed PLENTY of fighting heat in the past.
View the Bruce Scott, Mark Hobson 1 and Dominguez fights.
Not denying that Haye hasn't got heart aswell he showed it vs Mormeck.

I'm going for Haye before the 5th. If Hobson can wobble Enzo then Haye will have no trouble catching and dropping him. Haye also carries his power through the fight.
