I hope Haye gets an early KO. But I think if Haye tries this, Enzo will start cagily, try to block/parry and use his own jab to create distance.

Haye has more natural talent so he can start earlier. Hopefully he steals the opening ala Gurov and BANG Enzo's out! Mac has to warm himself up into the fight, take a couple of rds to get his jab working.

If Haye can go into the late rds and win then he is a hard bastard because he's weak at the weight.

I can just see with all the hullaballo about their dynamite power that they actually show each other lots of respect and the 'feeling out' period goes a few rounds before things get a bit more interesting.

By this time Haye has established a bit of a rythm, tires late on and Enzo gives it his all but Haye holds on...

I'm leaning towards Haye - I fancied Enzo right the way through, but after the Mormeck fight, I think Haye is the one on fire just now.

I'm starting to change my mind to..... I just think this "occasion is getting to Haye" might have a detrimental effect on Enzo... I think he might be too over excted and try and jump on Haye and get KO'd.

But I really cannot predict this fight... I've been Enzo all the way after the Mormeck fight - just this week I think a bit of reverse psychology might be involved and Warren's antics might actually be having the opposite effect to what he wants.

With Enzo Calzaghe as his trainer that won't happen. If Enzo wasn't involved in this fight then I'd emphatically go for Haye, but he is a great trainer and knows how Maccarinelli can beat Haye. There are questions that the fight will answer for me:
How will Big Mac handle Haye's power?
Can Haye adapt during the fight to negate Calzaghe's tactics?

I cannot believe Haye's accepted another fight below heavyweight.

Evenly matched battles throughout history have been won & lost, not on superior combat ability or greater valour, but on carefully choosing the ground & circumstances on which to fight: which is what Fwankie & co have done here. All credit to the Maccarinelli brainstrust.

Was a superhuman effort from our Dave in France (an unforgettable night), but it should have been his last south of 14stone 4lbs.

Cutting weight makes you seriously vulnerable to punches; I fear Haye is going to look like Cotto circa 2006, weird skin colour & no balance. Re-hydrating like a bastard seems to cut some vital connection in your balance centres, makes your legs go funny when caught just right.

Haye I think has too much pride to fall, but will take so much punishment while he tries to flatten the Welshman it'll bugger up the rest of his career.

But I shall be extremely miffed.

I think Enzo will weather the storm and stop Haye in 7, but a Haye blowout would be no huge shock.

Very 50/50 this one, in no way is Enzo "out of his depth"....

This is not like Hardy v Naz for example, these guys are not that far apart.

Haye by KO 7. I always predict the seventh for some reason!

Lets hope your right for the circumstances for the fight - but if you let the occasion get to you, then tactics can go out of the window. Enzo might not make it back into the corner (or at least not make it back in good enough shape) to listen to the rollocking off Enzo Calzaghe at the end of the first.

Macca points

Its a dangerous game all this boiling down to a weight that does not suit you and i too think Mormeck should of been Hayes last outing. This drop back may all go tits up for him. Still, due to my HATE not for Macca but for his WBO belt, opponents and most importantly his promoter known only as THE C U NT I'll have to root for the Haye kayo, anytime inside 7 rds i'm guessing, and probably has to scrape himself off the deck.

Think I might have a bet on Macca in the last four rounds, back him 8-9-10-11-12, and on points.

Haye's proved himself against the better opposition. He's got here on merit.

Enzo's got here on 50% ability and results and 50% promotional marketing.

Always a tough one to pick with two thunderous punches, but I'll go for Haye by stoppage no later than the 8th

Well put, Enzo Calzaghe is key here. The fitness, the gameplan and confidence building will ensure big Enzo wins.

Enzo Calzaghe is a decent trainer, but he has JC in his stable so that maybe that flatters him a bit.

I know he has a great track record BUT I do not think he is a great strategist - not a fight winning strategist in a big world title fight.


JC makes any trainer look good.

Enzo Macc is not JC.

Can see where your coming from but I think it could have opposite effect, I feel they are both gonna go for broke and get the big shots in there first, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a first round ko, if that happens Im going for Haye, think the sharpness will tell.

Right final prediction.

Maccarinelli is ordinary. Haye is on a different level. Haye will blow him away inside 4.

im suprised alot of people are going for enzo in this one, i like him but he can't go in with someone of haye's class and not get hit on the chin! enzo going to get found out big time! both fighters will box for first few rounds then haye's fire power will prove to be the end for enzo! He wasn't that classy against Mormeck, he hit the floor and was taking alot of straight shots.

He's not above Enzo In class technically his hands are low, It's his reflexes and power thats his man strengths although he's not bad with single shots either. If he had his hands high against JMM he would gassed faster so he kept his hands low.

He was lucky he can punch and for someone so strong he was bullied back by JMM too.
