What the fook was Braithewaite??! Banged out in 4 by Guillermo Jones, retires for a few years, pops up with one win and Frankie Boy imports him over as a 'serious challenger'. Maccas got sweet FA on his record, like most FW fighters.

Touchdown....come now Terry, I was at ringside for that bout. Haye barely made it to his feet.

Mormeck had already been beaten and won his title back, and was inactive and known to have severe stamina issues. Sure, I figured he would have too much for Haye, and I was almost right, Haye scraped through.

I think the differences in talent, experience and performances has been grossly exaggerated here, as elsewhere.

Braithwaite did not 'retire for a few years' he fought Mormeck as recently as 2005. He was out for 18 months before fighting a tube up five months before Enzo Mac.

Sure, I agree that Braighwaite was a scalp. I don't recall anyone saying Mormeck was invicible Terry, certainly imposing, but as he'd been stopped by Bell previously, he was hardly thought unbeatable.

I'd still class going to Paris and fighting Mormeck on a DK promotion far higher than fighting a Braithwaite in the process of a comeback, after 2 big losses, 18 months previous, one of which was to Mormeck.

Although due to styles I don't think either fight will have much baring, what I do think though is if Haye catches the upright Maccarinelli like he timed and caught the upright Gurov, then the fight is over.

As a South Londoner I should really support Haye, especially as I work in London Bridge, right next to where he grew up.

I favour Haye, just has a bit more class all round I think... my only worry with him is his chin/stamina... but I favour him overall and wouldnt be surpirised if he comes and takes Macc out early..... at the end of the day Haye has beaten live world class opposition, Macc hasnt, as Braithwait was badly faded imo... good win but not in the class of Hayes win over Mormeck...

It takes summat when I'm going to cheer a Londoner over a Welsh-Italian (who has a similar DNA background to me) from Swansea - a city where I spent 4 enjoyable years all because of Fwank 'Alledgedly' Warren!

I hate Enzo Macranellis boss so much I hope Haye does a number on him.

I remember the 1980s when Welsh boxing was in a terminal decline, if someone said that Welsh boxing would produce the calibre of fighter as Joe Calazghe and Enzo Macranelli, I would have been chuffed to bits

I think I'm cheering on Haye because it is down to Haye this fight is being made - Haye obviously wants to meet the best where you know that Maccranelli would have been happy knocking over third raters in defence of that silly WBO title of his.

I remember some of you favouring Braithwaite and saying It was a good win for Enzo though.

I concur. Enzo seems a decent enough bloke and a tough workhorse but tomorrow I'm confident that he is going to find himself out of his depth.

The closer it gets the more I fancy Haye to do a real number on Enzo. He looked ripped to fuk at the weigh-in. I shat myself just looking at the pictures...

Haye's is a fighter who appeals to the fans because he's willing to take risks, fight the best out there & try to prove himself to be the best.

Even though the fight is expected to end early, if Haye were to win by KO1 that would be an outstanding result.

I can see Haye going for the KO ASAP. He'll try to make Maccarinelli as apprehensive as possible then first chance he gets.

I feel sorry for Maccarinelli. He's a likeable guy who has been caught up in an anti-Warren tsunami.

Maccarinelli is one of the most improved fighters I've seen, and a far better advert for Enzo Calzaghe's worth as a trainer than Joe Calzaghe. He's been brought along beautifully and is starting to hit his peak just at the right time.

However, I dislike the way this fight has been promoted as a fight between two champions, when there's only one world champion on show; I dislike the way Warren seems to have taken every imaginable advantage for his man; and I like the way Haye is one of the few fighters willing to take risks -- his fights against Williams, Thompson, Gurov and Mormeck were all risks at the stage he took them, and all of them would have been avoided by other, lesser men.

Despite this, my head is ruling my heart and I think Haye will be beaten. Mormeck was, for me, very disappointing against Haye, but he still should have won. Haye has struggled with determined journeymen willing to push him on to the back foot with a strong jab. Haye is weak at the weight, and, overall, I think Maccarinelli is far more likely to be able to come through Haye's fire than Haye can his, and I believe his workrate is likely to force Haye backwards.

That being said, Haye really loves these tall, upright types (although, Maccarinelli's hips seem to be lower these days), and the power of both men is such that one can't predict the outcome with any degree of certainty.

Yeah just to add to what Carbo is saying, I want Haye to win but I'm not anti-Enzo or anything.

I would cheer him on in his next fight (unless it was a Haye rematch!)

Unfortunately the SN angle makes Mac just seem so much less sympathetic.

Haye has to win, if only to make a big statement against the "system" which encourages mediocrity.

Aesthetically, I would be happy for Enzo to win as I think he has a solid style and excellent punch delivery. Has been a damn good fighter to watch from the Hobson 2/Dominguez fights on.

I hope Haye wins, but that Enzo distinguishes himself as a top level operator in defeat. I would root for Mac against Cunningham, but not against Haye, to present a more rounded opinion!
