My God! Haye had got his right zeroed in by the second. He couldn't miss with the thing. He landed with three before the final shot. It was clearly a matter of time, and I for one can't wait to see what that does with an extra 20 lbs of muscle behind it.

Didn't see the first round, so it's tough to say whether it was as a result of the first right, but Maccarinelli looked so tentative. His shoulders and head were moving slightly back when he jabbed, and he wasn't nearly active enough to beat Haye.

Brilliant right to finish it. Stoppage was spot on. I've read a few posts on the general forum that said it was stopped too early, but that's crazy. Maccarinelli was dancing with Lala and Po when it was all brought to an end.

I can tell David has been watching his Roy Jones tapes.

Lethal puncher with that right hand. Much respect to David Haye for this one.

Haye's the number 1 at the weight and an exceptional fighter, there's no disgrace in losing to him. There aren't many, if any at 200 that would do that to Enzo. Enzo's still a quality fighter

Stunning performance by Haye last night that removed all doubt as to who is the real deal up at CW.

You've gotta feel for Macca though, weeks of roadwork and circuit training all for nothing.

I wonder if there won't be a parting of the ways after this - Joe Calzaghe looked utterly disgusted when the contest was called off.

In fact (besides honouring the fans with confirmation of who really is top dog) I'm struggling to think of any positives that Enzo can draw from this catastrophy, on the evidence of yesterday I'm not even sure he's up to the task of unifying the division after Haye vacates

Haye should already be p4p ranked going by the Gurov, Mormeck and Maccarinelli KOs. With his 3 belts and his huge punch, he should bein the top 10 p4p'ers. This is a special British talent here.

If Pavlik is ranked, then Haye should definitely be above him.

Last night was the most one-sided superfight for a long, long time. Haye had been saying it for years - but he really is a levels above Enzo Maccarinelli. It was evident from the first round on.

Maccarinelli looked TERRIFIED of everything Haye threw his way and was too scared of Haye's counter right hand to even think about launching anything of his own. He was flicking jabs out of utter fear to keep Haye away. David could've bossed that fight as he pleased for as many rounds as he wanted. Enzo would never have been prepared to take a gamble and let his hands go. He was waiting to get nailed from the first bell.

Last night was a win for British boxing. The good guys won.

Oh, yeah, and for a supposedly terrible ticket seller, it was interesting to see that around 90% of the O2 Arena were there to support Haye. Hmmmm.

I think as soon as Mac started shipping punches he was fighting like someone scaired of getting hit. I thought it was quite strange how Haye kept his left low throughout you would have thought he'd have been more cautiouse but insted looked compleetly conteptuouse of Macs power.

He came across not very well. Perhaps it was an effort to creat some buzz in the US.

Enzo looked very scared when that first bell rang. His head wasn't in the right place to look anywhere near like being able to contend. Don't get me wrong, have David Haye coming at you with fists blazing, doesn't sound like much fun to me, but given all the crap certain pundits were saying pre-fight, poor Enzo looked out of his depth.

Still, we'll never know if Enzo C's prophesy would have come true! He said if it turns out to be a long fight, David Haye would never fight again!

Yeah Enzo looked freaked on his way to the ring, any confidence he had went right out the window ( that's what fighting the Bobby Gunns of this world can lead to ) the way he ran to the ring had a look of a man just trying to get it all over with.

Whereas Haye on his way to the ring...you just wont see a more relaxed looking boxer heading into a big fight.

Enzo did actually take a massive looking right hand, early in the 2nd, I was surprised he took it so well. The finishers even looked less lethal, but it's all about where you land the shot I guess - temple instead of chin maybe.

And the look on Joe's face ringside just said it all - Enzo was down and you could see Joe thinking "get up get up get up...oh for f***s sake"

Joe just doesn't know what it's like to be out on yer feet does he.

That's as clinical a win as you're going to get.

Haye has really enforced himself as a major star of boxing. The way he took it all in his stride and then casually detontated the right hand was pure class. Maccirinelli looked scared at times and looked out of his depth. Back to the drawing board as they.

It's a great result for Haye and boxing. Nice little interview with Adam Booth afterwards encouraging other boxers to take more risks for the sake of the sport.

Haye has got to be ranked above Hatton and Pavlik P4P, if they were the same weight he'd blast threw them both.

The difference is that Haye actually means what he is saying.

He isn't going to be terrified of some moderate HW, that's for sure.

Taylor might not be everybodies cup of tea - but he does hold "wins" and "draws" over Hopkins (p4p er), Wright (p4p er), and Cory Spinks.

I have a difference of opinion to you & that's it.

I never said that Enzo was rubbish; I said that Warren has put him in with a lot of bums & now we know why.

Haye oozed confidence and pure class, and took Macc apart like the clubfighter he is. I took a great lot of pleasure from seeing a guy like Haye whos come up the RIGHT but very rare way of risky match ups, versus Fwankie Warrens WBO bum of the month smoke & mirrors routine.

No wonder Mac looked so far out of his dept, after the long string of flabby neverbeens hes worked over. He didnt have a chance. (Amir Khan take note)
