Its a bit rich knocking Guzman for going through trainers when Arthurs had more one night stands with trainers than a lady of the night in Soho!!!... 8) . Seriously though I would be shocked to see this fight go ahead, call me cynical or psychic!!.... 8) ...I just dont see Warren letting Arthur in there with Guzman as he will be eaten alive by him. He would probably put up a brave fight but Guzman is a different class and it would make the Gomez fight seem like a picnic...

Ali - we will see on the night when the 2 fighters meet - if Boxingchat is correct and indeed Guzman has not trained well - it may mean Alex Arthur will last to round 6 or 7 - or to the likes of you and the Alex Arthur fan club he will no doubt knock Guzman out - I hope he does - I hope that miracle comes along and Alex Arthur does win - but the key word there is miracle and you and your fellow Arthur fans are seriously searching for one.

Okay if you get serious - you can look at Guzman's record and see that his last 7 fights have finished on points - looking at that angle perhaps Arthur can give his fans something to shout about by lasting until the final bell - I just cannot see it - Arthur has the tendency to be caught an awful lot in his fights - in addition he also likes to dictate the terms in his fights in that he likes to be on the front foot - no chance of doing that against Guzman - I also feel when Arthur is put under pressure he loses his composure.

2 ways this fight will go - Guzman to win by TKO 4th - 6th round .... or Guzman to win by a very wide points margin.

I cant see Arthur going the distance..... Lockett neither.... Lockett would probably have trouble going the distance with Guzman, let alone Pavlick!!...

I do not think for one minute the fight will be close - my only doubt concerning the longetivity of the fight is that Guzman now seems to like to dazzle and showcase his skills - he seems to win his fights by wide margins and has the punch power to finish fights when he wants - but as I stated in a previous post Guzman has gone the distance in his last 7 fight.

But to call it one of the biggest mismatches on these shores is just ludicrous. You cannot begrudge Arthur his shot. He's a classy boxer and to me it is just a shame that he has to meet such a formidable champion.

You can be sure about one thing though, that i'll be gunning for an Arthur victory!

Read your post to me Ali - that is why I have answered the way I have.

In addition no one denies that Arthur by the very virtue of winning the European Title deserves his shot - it is very unlucky for him to be meeting Guzman in my view.

You state I am being ludicrous that I feel Arthur v Guzman is one of the biggest mistmatches on these shores - yet again another poster telling me I am not entitled to an opinion - that is my opinion - you even state in your post Guzman is a formidable champion and as such you name in the last 5-10 years another mismatch that has been worse - I will help you on your way - Davie Walker fighting for the European title a few years ago is one - but I am sorry its my belief this fight with Arthur is one of those mismatches -

If I am proved wrong I will be delighted for Alex Arthur and even more important I will be delighted for British Boxing.

Does anyone know when this is, was listed as the 26th April as I was going to go for my birthday but see on the schedule its slipped to 3rd May with no ticket or undercard info.

Is it likely to still go ahead?
