He is entitled to an opinion. And it is one I agree with. Pete Buckley has not put anything on the line in over 200 fights. He turns up, survives, collects his £1000-2000, then drives home. That is, unless, he realises he is not in against a proper prospect and starts to fancy the job.

He is a survivor. Dressing it up as anything else is bullshit. I have far more respect for fighters who are seen as journeymen, but actually try in EVERY fight. Take Alan Bosworth. A TRUE warrior, who put everything on the line, in EVERY fight.

You do not need to be a fighter to have an opinion fighting. As BP says, that is an absolute cliche.

What BP deserves stick for is his name.

You do not need to be a fighter to have an opinion but I think BP would have a much more realistic opinion in this respect, if he had had some fighting experience. Especially when he lowers himself to throwing insults when I put forward my position.
If you fight only a few times a year, like Bosworth it is much easier to have his style.
I do not disagree that Buckley has been a survivor in recent times, but just to survive in the pro boxing ring is very hard, and you need that warrior mentality to do that. This is where many non-boxers show a lack of knowledge as they feel surviving is just a walk in the park.
And I for one can't criticise BP's name as I called myself Too Cute!

It's been confirmed. Buckley deserves some sort of award for services to boxing. Good luck to him in the future.

If a show was a fighter down who else are you gonna call? You could ask people in the audience if they fancy stepping in for a fight and, bravado aside, the result would be floors awash with piss as everyone decided they'd rather not.

TV punters generally want KO's but I would say a lot of people at smaller shows want 6 rounds or more to get their money out of it. Often you could miss the KO but a well contested 6-rounder gives you lots of action.

so are you telling me people have shown him no weaknesses for many years, since its many years since peter buckley 'had' anyone.

i have probably seen buckley fight live a dozen times, only once have i seen him half try, and that was against a debutant ben hudson. and buckley managed a draw.

its a disgrace how he goes about his business, the cross arm guard and the constant retreat, he is like the italian army FFS.

im being honest, and ill tell you straight, i will not be sorry to see the back of him, and i think recently the promoters have been of the same opinion because his work has dried up over the last 18 months for sure.

in these hard financial times, we want a boxing match to at least half resemble a match. look up the word 'match' in the dictionary. it will at least incinuate something that is similar or equal.

give me bosworth or the smith brothers anytime, shit...give me alvin slick miller, at least he swung his lead, and if he clocked you one you knew about it. (ask danny percival)

all in all the surviving journeymen have been exposed by the boxing public, the increase in internet traffic has also had a lot to do with it, because joe 'semi interested in boxing' public can read and feel what the real boxing fans think.

and.....we are quite a knowledgeable bunch, but we dont suffer fools, or suffer people who try to make us look fools.

peter buckley has been making the boxing public look fools, should have had his licence taken away 3 years ago !!!!

How could the British Boxing Board allow him to keep continuing after so many losses and fighting under prepared the majority of the time?

since when do pro boxing bills state how many fights there are going to be on the night ??
