Yes.
Joe's the better fighter regardless as well.

I'd go along with you about the better fighter.
But not the record.
Glen Johnson, Anthony Mundine - Ottke beat them.
Calzaghe swerved Johnson 3 times - the 3rd time he ducked him, Johnson KO'd Roy Jones and then Glencoffe's name was never mentioned again.
Byron Mitchel, Brewer... beaten by Ottke before Joe.
Robin Reid - they have both have an debatable victory over the runcorn man.
Starie, Pudwill... on Ottke's record too.
Both stay at home.
Thats what the debate is here - that Joe has hid under his Cardiff stone until the opposition has grown old and more beatable before digging his passport out.
Calzaghe is an excellent boxer - but he is beatable like any fighter.
If he did fight Froch, to say it would be a mismatch is a big exaggeration.
Froch can knock Joe out and there is little doubt in my mind about that. The only thing would be landing that shot to take care of business and one other possession Froch has is very good accuracy.
Froch has concrete fists - you can see them landed accurately in this video:

Joe beat Kessler who beat Mundine anyway. Joe gave one of the most one sided schoolings to Lacy too regardless of how good he was, no one In boxing has done a beating that good.
Joe beat Ottke's victims faster than Sven and never won controversial or needed the ref to win. Who cares who beat who first.
Joe would beat the crap out of Glen Johnson and would never need to run him close like Woods did. Johnson's arrrgh straight shots would of looked amateurish against Joe.
By April Joe will have Kessler, Lacy, Eubank, Hopkins, Mitchell, Brewer, Woodhall and Reid on his resume.
That Is way better than Ottke's. Even Ottke's trainer said In boxing monthly he prefered to defend his IBF title rather than face Joe.
At least Joe fought a prime Reid and wasn't troubled by a past his prime one like the man your a yes man too, Froch was put off balance by timed straight rights.
Why bring up the opposition record? Joe would beat Froch senseless without those names. Froch should of taken the Bute fight, not fight Bute's victim Instead who was coming off a loss a month and a half earlier to Bute. He's been brought on slow and still looking bad.
Calzaghe has a better chin than Froch's KO victims put together and there only accurate because he stays flat footed to put full force Into them while taking shots himself. Why does he still press forward at them when there down? Looked that way Vs Reid.
No way will Froch's uppercut touch Joe, takes too much time to throw It and will be seen by Joe.
Calzaghe's southpaw jab will get through Froch easily and he can use that to pressure Froch to the ropes, where Joe will let loose while Carl Is covered up or trying to hold on while off balance.

Does power get you guys hyped, I remember when Lacy was Ko'ing guys and most of you were duped by his power and used It to favour him.
Simular with Kessler too and the right hand.

You snigger at Froch - whilst i belly laugh at Peter Manfrodo.
You poke fun at the Cobra - but he's packing 8,000 into Nottingham arena with just a British Title.... lets look at where Joe was 22 fights in? :-
Carlos Christie 13-22-1 Whitchurch Leisure Centre - suprise suprise - a bum and thats nearly 5 years into his career.
This 10 year reign is full of dudley opponents.
Calzaghe has a great talent ( i wont say otherwise )
I recall the 'letter to the public' on Calzaghe's site that declared he wouldnt be fighting Kessler as the Americans had not heard of him.... only for the ESPN studio to get Kessler in as their special guest for Friday fight night the following week.
3 x Johnson fights he missed out on. You say clinton struggled Johnson? thats because Johnson is a rough-tough handful even in 2008.
The Johnson we talked about was the 2004 version. The one who knocked Jones out. The vastly improved johnson. The best version. The version that would have easily outworked and outfought a prime Lacy.
There are just too many names that are not on his record, names in their primes - that have all managed to fight one another, that Joe has not fought.
A question Max - would you say Johnson vs Lacy is a fight you'd back Lacy in ? Even now Glencoffe is old ?
Im not trying to score points here, i'm interested.

Yeah and Joe pulled In 35,000 on Manfredo.
Froch Is still on domestic level 5 years Into his career while Joe fought Eubank 4 years Into his career.
You Froch nut huggers have to use the opposition logic to say he has a chance against Joe because It's convenient and have nothing else to use because you all know Joe would make him look like an amateur. Froch's mouth Is as bad as Steve Collins sometimes.
I think he can win a belt because 12stone Is not hard for Euro/domestic level brits to win a title at but he wouldn't unify unless It was against a weaker champ.
Yeah and Joe still fought Kessler In the end, people change what they say In the media pretty easy.
Johnson would be Lacy'ed by Calzaghe. Vastly Improved, he throws shots like he's just stiffened himself up lying In a freezer and he still tagged Woods. Woods should of used his boxing ability rather than doing tear ups which he likes to do as his boxing ability Is good.
Who cares who Joe fought, he's given us good fights still against good names and had a hard time trying to get other names.
I dunno both Lacy and Johnson are average but maybe Lacy will out strength him In a close fight.

I had an important document in front of me here, and just thinking about Calzaghe made me grab it, ripping it. I hate him.
Look at him here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCaWcLK9miw
When he talks there he looks like a pussy and a prick.
You just want to get your hands on his neck and squeeze, squeeze, squeeze.

How the hell can you guys say garbage like that when Froch thinks he can knock him out then turns down Calzaghe and Bute?
Theres nothing In that video where Joe comes across as what your saying.

There's no need to physically fancy a guy though, like allegedly, Barry McGuigan and Steve Bunce do (the greats).

I think you just dont like Froch - which is fair enough at the end of the day.
I like Joe, even though he thinks he's the darling of the British boxing scene despite not featuring in any all time great fights despite his 10 year reign.
But although i hold him partly responsible, i believe it's more about his promoter's ambition.
David Haye is already eclipsing him in the achievements to date.
With regards the Bute fight, you can also say the same of Kessler & Miranda ducking Froch - because he gave them the chance to fight him in Inkin's place.
But i think we both know that a couple of weeks notice (combined with tickets sold, venue booked and Sky date in place already for Tatevosyan) ruled the chance to face Bute out.

That's true. Mormeck and Macca whom Haye fought in his first 25 or less fights are a good match for Lacy and Kessler - Joe's best wins.

Gomez - some of the stuff you write about Carl is almost as baisied as the b*llocks I deliberately go out of my way to write!!!
To say Carl is packing in 8,500 fans into the Nottingham Arena is total and utter b*llocks - time and time again I have been frustrated that more fans could come to see Carl box - 5-6,000 maybe but not as many as you state. In addition Mick Hennessy is a clever man and has packed a lot of local fighters on the bill when Carl has fought there - so to suggest Carl is as popular as you make out - I will state again - b*llocks!!!
Now before you and others jump on my case - I cannot understand why there are not more people turning up to see Carl - he is a world class boxer who will set his division alight when he wins a world title which in my opinion he will - Gomez don't know how long you have been on the scene mate - but there have been the likes of myself, Rhino and Chambers who have been raving about Carl since the "Real Class of 2002" days!!!!

Exactly and Meaty Mick has been clever with the Froch opponents - for example good ticket sellers like Dodson and Damon Hague and in addition the undercard has been packed with very good ticket sellers.

Offered an IBF eliminator Vs Bute and turned It down to fight Tatesvosyan who was coming off a one sided loss to Bute a month earlier.
And offered a Calzaghe fight and turned It down.
His mouth Is all bark and no bite.

I would support him If fought for a world title against a non british opponent but It's his mouth and no bite I'm not a fan of.
No way, Haye has only two wins, he hasn't achieved more, that Is nearly as bad as when Nickd said Hatton achieved more based off the Tszyu win.
You guys said Kessler understandably needed more time so what was the point In calling him out and then accusing him of ducking? At least he wasn't chicken to fight Calzaghe. I would favour Froch to KO Miranda though but wasn't he too fat to make the weight so soon?
Should of fought Bute, not his victim, he was battered by Bute In January and fights Froch a month and half later, so Froch's people are bad with the opposition too.
Now Bute's Ibf champ and will probably have the better career.

Max!!!
As much as I have a dislike for "Meaty Mick" - I think you are being a tadge too hard on him concerning Carl Froch.
I really do believe he has gone out of his way to try to match Froch with the very best and let me add here - I consider his matchmaking of Froch a lot harder than say Calzaghe's who was at the time a world champion!!!
I have been present when many a boxer and many a trainer have turned down good money and a decent fight with Froch!!!
Like I say don't like Meaty Mick too much but he is bang on with the way he has guided Froch.

I agree - Its only banter all said and done.
People who think Carl has no right to call Calzaghe out are denying a huge domestic punch-up from occuring.
Bute? he was sparked out as an amateur fighting at welterweight. He'd never engage Froch. He's destined to fight phonies in front of 20,000 at the Bell centre.
