SN is no longer listed, hence no share price. Try and keep up.

As for Guzman. You forget SN know him inside out, they had him for ages. Getting him to Edinburgh will be a big plus for Arthur. He's lazy, tight at any weight he chooses to fight at, he loves cakes and he is not a banger at all. A good counter pouncher but hates following Boxers around the ring. Arthur can win this if he chooses to box and not trade.

I know Guzman and he isn't what you all think he is. He is very much a Eubank clone (same amatuer and early pro coach) and like Chris can be outworked and out-boxed.

Arthur has the pedigree to beat him.

Guzman isn't great. But he's very difficult. When someone like him starts focusing on defense, it's very hard to get through.

Also, last I looked, Arthur seems tight at the weight. Did you guys leave the title shot a bit too late? How is Alex going to have that extra strength? He seemed to have it a few fights ago - Palomo - but doesn't look good now. I know it may be worth having it for the home advantage though.

I think Guzman will beat Arthur in a messy one on points. If Arthur wins, props to him but I don't know how many ppl can see this coming after barely beating Foster Jr in that British title (oops...WBO Interim) classic. IMO Humberto Soto would take Arthur apart.

Interesting to see an inside perspective on Guzman BUT I think your underrating Guzman and hoping Guzman will have a bad night and Arthur will rise to the occasion rather than being 100% objective.

Guzman's workrate can be low BUT what he does is excellent and he always does enough against top level opponents. Currently he is reminicent of Floyd Mayweather. Even if he is 'only' on the level of a Eubank, surely that would be way above Alex Arthur

I wonder if the judges will favour the house fighter however  I sense a Sven Otke like performance in the making  I wonder if BC knows something we don't

Like em, or Loath em, SN are the biggest in british boxing, they may lose a couple of boxers in the coming year, but thats the nature of the sport.

The Olympics are this year, so more boxers coming along looking to turn pro.

What if we all accept. we never had it so good.

A channel that covers boxing but wont broadcast shit.

10 top line fighters on the world stage.

Hatton, Calzaghe, Haye, Woods, Witter, Rees, Moore, Cook, Mitchell, Froch, Khan and plenty of others who've been close to or in world title shots....Skelton, Williams, Lockett......

Quiting moaning, start enjoying.

Spot on!

In the words of Harold MacMillan "You've (we've) never had it so good" (other than one massive disappointment in Hatton-Witter not being anywhere bear the horizon, it doesn't get much better than this last 12 months IMO)

Thought you only had him for a few months, took the Wales fight then fled to Dom Rep?

Gotta be optimistic of course, but the bookies will rightly make him a big favorite, even in Scotland.

Sorry bc, but I disagree. I saw Guzman fight Soto, and he was a different class in a fight many people though he'd lose because Soto was on a decent run. His movement, defence and balance impressed the hell out of me. I thought I was watching a poor-man's Mayweather.

If Arthur struggled against Foster Jr, and I personally think he did, he needs not only to fight at a level he hasn't shown yet in his career, but also have the best performance he will ever have.

I don't think it's possible to say Arthur won't win, as anything is possible, but Arthur really does have to pull out the stops for this one.

I can't see how Arthur outboxes the master-boxer. Guzman is something special IMO, it's frightening to think how good he could be if he didn't have these alleged discipline problems.

It pains me to write this ...

Mr W arren is no way finished yet regardless of what happens with Calzaghe, Arthur or Khan ... not a chance - to put it diplomatically he is a wyly old fox and is a born survivor in a horrible dog eat dog sport!!!

W arren will still be going when others have been and gone - it would amuse me to see him struggle but lets face it that is not going to happen.

I will state the obvious in my view - Amir Khan in my opinion will not be a W arren fighter for all of his career - for me its a matter of when he will go.

I think you have it a tadge wrong - Setanta needed impressing - my opinion is W arren needed to get his foot in the door to get a long term contract once Calzaghe is out of the way - I wouldn't put it past Calzaghe to retire soon - Hopkins - then maybe Woods but I don't think he has too much longer to go - W arren is if nothing else a shrewd guy and as such I think he knows exactly what he is doing.

Hope springs eternal, eh BC? :D

It would take Guzman to come in completely unfit and without any preparation to speak of for Arthur to have any sort of chance.

There is a huge gulf in their respective abilities and levels of class.

Arthur will get beaten handily. I cant see any other result from my perspective.
