Buncey and Richie are good pals - Woodhall would have taken Bunce's comments in his stride as would Bunce about the comments on here.

I firmly believe Setanta have got it right concerning their coverage - as mad as some will say I am - I like Rawling and Woodhall as a combination, and I like the Dempsey and Bunce combination with Abrams thrown in there as well.

If Setanta get rid of any of them I think it will be a great big f*cking mistake.

Woodhall is entitled to make the odd mistake - I just don't want him sucking up to W arren and his fighters just to keep his job - as long as he continues the way he is - I will be way happy!!!

One man who does need firing though is the MC, how he got that job I've no idea. It sounds like he's reading from the card he has in his hand when he introduces the fights, which he invariably is!!

Another thread dedicated to Buncey. That tells me all I need to know. Didn't watch the fight last night, but caught the rerun today and thankfully it didn't feature the 'colour guy'.

I dont dislike him at all but if he could reign it in a bit and cut down on the overbearing hyperbole then I'd be happy.

Unfortunately that's not in his MO, so fvck off you fat chancer.

buncy came out with a beauty a few weeks ago,can't remember who was fighting but one of the fighters had a huge cut above his eye and buncy said " the gash was so big he could have passed twins through it"

I am surprise he hasn't been sacked yet, he holds on to his card like he's holding on for dear life and reads everything off it.

He always makes mistakes too, he introduced the fight as the WBA lightweight...light-welterweight championship. Michael Pass wasn't great but he sure could do a hell of a lot better than Mark Burdiss.

my girlfriend loved Michael Pass before he disappeared but it never bothered me cos I got to watch a lot of boxing without the earache about missing the second part of Ugly Betty or some such Yank crap, no offence.

I must have been influenced by the cheap Aldi's Baron Jean vino because I had Rees close going into the last couple.

Perhaps I wanted Rees to win too much to view clearly.

I've grown to appreciate the energy Buncey injects, just how dull would it be for casual fans if it was just objective, rehearsed, cautious delivery all the time.

You need some Buncey to liven things up.

Duddy vs Pavlik aint happening cause of the cut... thats the only reason.

Waddell is an absolute genius, I wouldn't put Buncey, much as I like him, in the same orbit let alone street.

Waddell is peerless when it comes to commentary. Stuart Hall was pretty good back in the day.

Harrison was a very talented but erratic fighter. He had the ability to make an impact at the highest level as his Olympic triumph shows, but he lacked the drive and consistency. I don't think Bunce blew smoke up anyone's arse regarding Harrison.

He did say he believed Harrison would go on to be a world champion, and unfortunately said anything but in his newspaper column.

Bunce performs a certain job for TV, I don't know that he neccessarily beleives everything he says. On quiet reflection, when he is sitting down writing, he probably comes to different conclusions oftentimes.

I think the difference is when he is in the spotlight on TV (which he absolutely loves) his mouth moves faster than his brain. When he's writing he obviously has more time to think about it.
