Saad Muhammad's KO of Mwale-Mwale fell like a chopped down tree.

Vonda Ward's KO from Ann Wolfe was one of the more odd things I've seen, but brutal nevertheless.

One of my favorite KO's was Arguello's hook off his jab against Escalera in the second meeting.

Arguello's one punch KO of Kevin Roony just after Gil Clancy questioned if Arguellos power was not enough with this step up in weight division, Roony was out for four or five minutes.

Was actually two punches, but the doubling up of the left hook in the Marciano-Matthews fight was particuarly awesome; which effectively ended the fight right then and there in the second round.

Robinson knocking out Fulmer in the second fight. Perfect left hook in terms of speed and power and accuracy, and he knocked out a fighter with a great chin.

Watching it over on DVD, that punch just get's better and better each time you rewind and see it. I did it about 30-40 times the other night, and it just got better and better each time!

In a way its like a form of snuff.

As much as one likes to watch boxing, I can not enjoy or find any satsfaction at watching a man get bashed.

Yep, I've never seen anyone get up from a harder shot than that, a near miracle Larry survived that one.

The left hook that Ray Leonard finished off Dave Boy Green with was the hardest shot he ever threw.

Hearns right hand that froze Pipino Cuevas was dynamite too.

How dangerously weapon lke was that right of Hearns in that fight.

I have a photo some where of Hearns fist planting Cuevas head into his shoulder. Scarey.

Agree 100%. What a sick b#stard this fella is, knowing the trauma that shot put Watson through to this very day. One of the most repulsive posts i've ever read on this forum.

Maybe he did not know of the outcome.

Castillo's left hook that floored Chico in their 2nd fight is a recent one that comes to mind.
Gatti 3 punch combo on Gamache was also devastating.
RJJ body shot to Hill seemed hurtfull as well

Oh get real, if Michael (Watson) had his way the fight would be re-shown 24/7!

I gotta say when the great Thomas Hearns decapitated my hero, the great Roberto Duran with one devastating right hand punch.

Hearns is one of my all-time fave punchers and fighters but don't really go with the Duran and Cuevas KOs. both men were taking an absolute pounding before the KO punches. They were devestating but they were not what i'd call one punch KOs in the way McCallum's was against Curry, for example.

Then why do you watch Boxing? The whole point of the sport is to HURT another man. Combat? Conflict?

Shavers must have hit Ali with at least four shots that were at least as hard as the shot that dropped Holmes. Yet 35 year old Ali stood up and never went down, while prime Holmes went down and just barely got up. Yet Holmes was the "miracle" fighter.

the title of the thread is "best punch youve ever seen" not "best one punch KO". ezzard take note. its quite possible that the best punch youve seen was delivered by the guy who eventually lost the fight, like the one above (shavers)

I didn't say anything about Shavers being the loser or the winner. I said that he hit Ali as hard as he hit Holmes, so the idea that the Holmes punch is particularly special is wrong. It looked better because Ali, even at 35, had a better chin than Holmes and didn't get splattered like Larry did.

I'm sure, for example, that Hearns hit Hagler or Hill as hard as he hit Cuevas, harder in fact. But the punch looks better because Cuevas doesn't have the same punch resistance, he was a 147 pounder and they were 160 and 175 pounders.
