I agree that a prime Casamayor would murder Khan, but he is no longer in his prime; did you not see how the somewhat cumbersome Katsidis caught him repeatedly and was at least equalling his skills?

In my view, it would be a bloody good match for Fwank to make; Khan could conceiveably beat a future nailed on Hall of Famer and make the big step up in one night whilst, if he were to lose, there is no shame and no negative publicity in losing to a genuinely world class fighter.

Depends your view of it because, whilst I agree that Khan vs Thaxton is a fight that the public want to see and one that could be entertaining, I can quite see why Kristjansen's world ranking is considered to be of greater value and no boxer s compelled to take a lesser route just to appease the fans (sadly).

Reality check. Does anyone really think that Thaxton would have more than a punchers chance against Khan? His last two performances, both against fighters barely above Area standard, were lacklustre and every time he has stepped up in class, he's been soundly whipped.

thaxton may well only have a punchers chance,as would anyone with half a dig and a bit of durability against khan. its obvious that his own people have no faith in his chin. also, thaxtons last opponent is a lot better lightweight than anyone khan has fought. so,beating romanov wouldnt have pushed khan further up the world rankings? khan is a house of cards waiting to be blown over,and it ll be worse when he has to fight men of his own size
