Not bad mate, but I think you have overlooked John H stracey from that list. He has to be on it somewhere.

Yes, as soon as i sent it, i realised some of those mistakes. thanks.

As for Michael Watson, that wasn't a mistake, he was one of my favs but i can't find a place for him on my list.

(Since 1970..) Lennox Lewis.. Nigel Benn.. Chris Eubank.. Ken Buchanan.. Naz Hamed.. Lloyd Honeyghan.. Ricky Hatton.. Barry McGuigan.. Joe Calzaghe.. John Conteh..

Calzaghe lacks a real top win like even a McGuigan (Pedroza, obv..).. Lacy and Kessler may go on to be great but they arent yet.. Hopkins was once great when he was Calzaghes age now, but not anymore.. Eubank took it on 10-11 days notice and lost a stone and a half in a wk..

I'll be honest Ian, I was suprised to see Neary and no Watson. Shea couldn't even get past Mickey Ward.

As they were the same weight class the Eastman ahead of Watson is a strange one for me, although doing big lists from such a large timescale is always going to provide people with plenty to pick at

Not sure who Boxrec says is British or not, so I included an extra five to make sure at least ten of them are British according to Boxrec.
Nice list. I'd have Buchanan a bit higher.

Please submit your top ten all time best British fighters, active or retired, any weight. The stipulation 'British' is that they must be listed as United Kingdom fighters on the Boxrec Ratings. This is to save arguments, hopefully.

a fighter placed 1st will recieve 10 points, the fighter placed tenth, 1 point.
the points will be tallied, and I will let youse know what the final result is.

Deadline for lists will be Wednesday 30th April, 0800 GMT. I should be able to tally them that evening.
Lines close 8am tommorow
