I have had my runs in with Mike - but there is no one in the sport who works harder than him - absolutely no one.

I use Mike every show i do never let me down and shown me a few learning things as well.

goodhall is an excellent mc.

Don't be apologising to Spud, FFS. Stick to your guns! Goodall is a hard working fella. He's not a great announcer though. There's nothing like witnessing Mike destroying the name of an East European import!

Goodhall used to be good in the good old days when he was with Sports Network - just seemed in more recent years to be overcome with nerves.

Why isn't Alan(?) Hughes used anymore... the guy who used to do the Barry Hearn bills in the 90's (Eubank) and more known for doing the Snooker. Used to like him "My lords, ladies and Gentleman".

Is he the announcer that always says "give it up for two fighters who gave their all!!!"?

regardless of who the mc is or how they do it, they all get paid for it, so lets get over saying that someone works hard for the sport.

remember I was covering the card at Dagenham for the BBN when Nicky cook was defending his Euro crown agains the french lad (name escapes me now) and there were a couple of Polish / Hungarian guys on the undercard (hell of a fight and a chilling KO from memory) was trying to get the names of the boxers from the MC and I had no better clue from Mike's pronunciation bless him than if had had he not bothered. He had about 3 stabs at it tho cant fault him for trying. 8)
