I'll put up Bugner vs Neilson when I get a bit of time to get it on the hard drive and split it to cater for Youtube length restrictions.

Both these fellows had vocal wives as their #1 fans...
Excellent. Look forward to it.
It's up now.

I am at work so can't supply the links but if you search on "Joe Bugner" you will find it.

Yes, even at that stage of his career Bugner had good skills.

If only he'd fought like he really meant it consistently, rather than sporadically.

If he had I think the public would have got behind him. As it was he ALWAYS talked a good fight but many times didn't deliver.

Bugner vs Bruno in 83 may well have had a different outcome but by no means a certainty as at every stage of his career Joe was quite capable of turning in an awful performance. Most likely he would have finished on his feet though whether he won or lost. But there was no way Lawless was letting Big Frank anywhere near Bugner at that stage though.

Anyone know where Lawless is now? Did he ever write a book? He was involved with a lot of the top UK boxers for a long period of time and should have some interesting insights to share.

Excellent work, Collins. Bugner at his best. But why, oh why, didn't he fight like that all the time?...
Yes, that was the frustrating thing about him. And one of the things that has kept us Brits talking about him all this time.

He didn't have Dino as his opponent for his other 82 fights.
