He also gave Abrahams murder in Germany, braking his jaw in the process, so I dont think he can be purely dismissed as a 'terrible' fighter.

Doesn't look hard to give Abraham a close fight, Arthur's mostly tough and has power. How was It close when Miranda was deducted 5 points for fouling?

Miranda before Eastman was weirdly ranked high In the IBF without beating anyone decent. He still hasn't beaten anyone decent yet either.

Bookies are rarely wrong with odds like 50/1 or 100/1 so lets be honest they dont fancy the Welshmans chances and neither do I. It would be great, in fact fantastic, if Lockett could pull off the win but I just cant see it happening.

When Dann fought Eastman in 2003 bookies weren't taking odds on Eastman as they thought that the fight was a formality. Internet betting wasn't big then and I was traveling, my dad got odds of 7-1 or 6-1 on Dann from a bookies in Plymouth, which probably was a bit shit as it's Scott's home town, but should give you an idea of what a outsider should be getting..

I agree Kelly for a man is not the most masculine name but look at poor old John Wayne growing up with the name Marion. There are big beefy Yanks called Tracey as well. Do you remember the Johnny Cash song "boy named Sue"? At the end of the song the father says to his son "I wanted you to grow up tough, thats why I gave you that name" Maybe Pavliks parents had a similar idear. Anyway Kelly Pavlik is the champ regardless of his name and its going to take a very good fighter to beat him, and I dont honestly see Lockett as that fighter.

I agree. The knockout percentage is good (about 70%), but achieved at a low level in world terms. Lockett seems a great bloke and I wish him well, but - if you look carefully at his record - it is not easy to make a case for his deserving a "world" title shot.

8/1 is about right I guess, but I still think Lockett hits hard enough to give Pavlik a few surprises.

Ok the form says no comparison, but you'll hear a lot of people in the UK game say that Lockett is a genuine out & out puncher, and has been since his amateur days.
