Bradley is a B-rate version of Hatton, have you been drinking this morning Rhino?!
Bradley isnt like Hatton, since when did Hatton sit back and counter, slip shots, patiently figure out his opponent? And even jab and throw straight punches

Bradley would usually throw more shots but when your fighting a counter puncher you can not
Will you kindly just scroll past my posts pal because you just don't get it. You're entitled to an opinion but it's horse shit.

On watching that fight again do you think Timothy Bradley "patiently figured out" Junior Witter?!

What, by running in with his head and throwing looping hooks for 12 rounds?

Bradley is limited, very limited. You think he's better than Hatton?

I'm amazed that on a British Boxing forum arguably our best fighter in the last 10 years (along with JC) gets such stick. And what's with the editor sticking his nose in and slating Hatton fans?

Stick to the Yank side of things, Blue... :TU:
I didnt say he was better than Hatton, and I didnt see he'd beat Hatton, I said he does certain things better than Hatton, which he clearly does. Hatton is not a counter puncher, does not sit back and does not have the best defense. These are facts, Hatton is good at some things and poor at others like all fighters.

How would he do against Hatton, it depends how he performs against a pressure fighter.

In truth we don't know how good Bradley is. We've seen Bradley in 1 big fight, more will come and we will see how good he is in time. Hes only 24 and Hatton certainly wasn't going in with the likes of Witter at the age of 24 (well he'd never fight the likes of Witter  ), he was wasting his time fighting the WBU bums

You just said he usually throws more shots? If you've only seen him fight Witter how do you know that?

Does it bollox because Malignaggi just got a beating from Ngoudjo. Fair enough Witter isnt at this stage as good as we thought he could be. hjat doesn't excuse the fact that outside of 2 fights Hattons comp has been very weak.

He actually got the decision though. I would love to sit here and say Hagler defeated Leonard but he did not do so objectively, so I can't say he did.

Malignaggi boxed badly and won, Witter boxed badly, was floored and defeated. That suggests, along with Herman being better than Bradley, that Malignaggi over Witter was the perfect choice, no? :TU:
No Malignaggi didnt win, his promoter paid off the judges, thats not a win with anyone who follows the sport, it was a blatant robbery. If Witter got the decision it would be far less of a robbery than Malignaggis gift, thats how disgraceful it was.

We all know Malignaggi can be walked through, hes been walked through twice now. The Hattons jumped at this fight when they saw Herman bashing the metrosexual Italian up

Feel pretty sorry for Ngoudjo he should have wins over Malignaggi and Castillo. Ngoudjo deserves a title shot

whether or not witter can beat hatton doesnt matter IMO

being a real boxing champion means you take on all challengers and don't just concentrate on one popular guy so that you can suck the $$$ from his nipple

Has some deranged woman hacked into your account or something? It was not a robbery, that is crazy. It was a fight that was fairly hard to score with both guys bringing different attributes, this lead to the scoring being the way it was. The SD in the Witter fight was worse in my opinion as he was not in the races in any respect.

Malignaggi is in line because he can draw a crowd at MSG and he has a title, unfortunately Witter was never going to achieve one of those feats and has now lost his belt.

A Lynes fight is the best he can hope for and you could blame everyone in the world aside from Witter but he was the man in the ring, the clean living hard training man on a mission, and he blew it.

Eventually you will have to acknowledge that no one was to blame for Witter losing other than Witter. No one, also, forced him into fighting that Spanish guy and into looking awful, no one forced him to take months off after arguably his biggest and most eye-catching, the finish certainly, win. As Bradley said Witter's mind was on his post-fight rinsing of Hatton, something you his fans all called for, and look where it landed him.
'They brought different attributes' like Ngoudjo brought his punches and Malignaggi brought his face. Ngoudjo landed much much MORE - see the punchstats if you don't agree. And how much harder does Ngoudjo hit, 5 or 10 times? He backed Malignaggi up all night, hurt him multiple times. WTF did Malignaggi win on?

Witter despited been shit Ruiz'ed some rounds away and was ahead until he got clocked.

Witter lost the fight and lost his chance of a Hatton fight, I'm not arguing about that. That is undeniable, the fights been on the cards from 2000-2008 and should have happened in that time

TBH Terrance it looks like your spinning the usual Witter and his competition are crap and they are nowhere never as great as the wonderful insert guy coming off a robery win or lucky punch.

Anyway the fight will never happen, I won't call for it but I would still like to see it.

Agreed :TU: , I'm a fan of fighters who take risks, not stage managed none risk takers. And Hatton just doesnt take risks (TYszu/Mayweather were win-win fights even if he lost - Hatton lost against Mayweather and still talks about it as an achievement)

I think it's interesting that no one's heard Hatton slagging Witter off, after Witter lost. It seems that Hatton has no malice towards him, just a complete lack of interest. I believe Witter not getting Hatton - and not getting many more fights - may have harmed his development. It's a shame, but Witter should have concentrated on what was in front of him so that he could at least continue to call himself a world champion.

Punch stats don't score fights, incompetent judges do. As for your 5-10 x harder shots guesstimate, it is just that. Malignaggi was wobbled once if I recall, he boxed poorly but I've seen worse decisions.

Not sure about Witter being ahead when the knockdown came. He was behind on my card but that is the thing, it was MY card, without magical punch stats to hand, although I think Junior's could honestly be counted on one hand by that point.

If you are happy for Witter to Ruiz his way to rounds then you must have scored some big rounds to Hatton as by your criteria, and some on here, Hatton is a mini-Ruiz.

Saying I'm towing a anti-Witter line is unfair and wrong. I've spoken up for him on BBN and wrote about his fights so I've hardly closed my eyes to him.

Ultimately he failed to hold the title for any significant period, or to make any significant fights. That is not the fault of the machinations of Hatton, the blame lies elsewhere. In their parallel time-line one guy defeated a much-lauded (then, Tszyu is shit now apparently) fighter and then pursued a bout with the best fighter in the world, despite barely winning a round you have to respect that fact.

All we heard from the Witter faction on here pre-fight was that Bradley would be mashed down and Witter should a) insult Hatton b) insult his family (classy) c) insult his career d) call him a c*nt live on air, it is also stated that Hatton did this type of thing to lure Floyd into a fight when beating Castillo. Fair point, the difference? Hatton did it live on HBO to a worldwide audience, Witter did not even reach this type of level. Again that is not down to anybody but the man himself.

Hopefully Witter can dust himself off and comeback but after his last loss, again a dire showing on Showtime, it took him a million and five fights to get back, we have seen the last of Witter at world title level.

The whole debate used to be boring, now it is irrelevent.
Well don't band all the Witter fans together as you won't have heard any of those comments come from my mouth. Those are clearly immature posters talking out of frustration for their favourate fighting not getting the fight they want but I dont see what their comments have to do with me or Witter who was never the disrespectful character Hatton painted him to be in order to duck the fight.

The reason I gave Witter rounds was because he would score a connected punch and grab (stopping his opponent from getting off), while his opponent simply wasnt getting shots off and that happened in 5-6 rounds. Thats my definition of Ruizing rounds. He was also the ring general early on.

Yes Hatton will go down as having a greater legacy but he has had the silver spoon treatment, all the advantages, hes a very good fighter but I dont rate his skills that highly and the 8 year Witter situation and minimum risk fights rub me the wrong me. He did a tremendous job on Tyszu but there will always be a big question mark on that win.

As for Witters legacy, lets not forget he rotted for eyars waiting for his title shot and hes now 34. If he got say Shamba Mitchell 2002-2004 or Harris back then he would have skyrocketed. hardly had allot of luck of the green has he?

I think you know Herman won that fight. I hope both Herman and Witter get shots in the next 18months, Herman being the more deserving.

Despite Witter looking shit as a fan I'd like to see him get 1 last throw of the dice. Who knows maybe Hatton will be a gentleman and give him a shot once he loses to Mayweather again

Terry D wrote:I did not score the Malignaggi fight. Thought it could have went either way and did not fancy watching that one again. Malignaggi is a guy who would be good for the goose but not the gander. I mean Witter should have even considered Urango, bomb to be defused and then make a case from that fight.

I'm not lumping you in with other fans, apologies for that, to be honest I think the whole debate has been done to death. Bradley, I thought, off-set Witter with the jab to the body and landed more body shots, to the naked eye, than Witter landed head shots. The left hand was there for Witter and we did not see it work well until around the 10th. It was a bad night.

Hopefully they may fight one day and we can actually argue over something concrete!
To be honest I prefer seeing more of this sort of behind the scenes action, to the politics

It is all well and good saying Witter blew it.

He lost a fight, when you take risks and fight these things happen.

Hatton is to balme, Witter lost - Hatton lost before and do not give m,e all this to the P4P best crap,

Hatton manipulates the press and ignorant fans with all this talk.

Bottom line is Hatton got what he wanted last Saturday and could not give a f what any of us think.

Even his dumb blind fans mean nothing to him when all is said and done.
