Either would need to be in the top 15. I know Warren can pull that off with the WBO, but the WBC?? That would be impressive...

Does that matter with a Voluntary?

Whoever it is , they will appear where they need to be in the Rankings!

Yeah like the chap above said they would need to be top15 or so to be eligible for a title shot, otherwise with voluntary defences we'd end up seeing possibly anyone win the belt.
Personally I aint believing this at all, because I dont think the WBC would play with their rankings like other bodies seem to do.

Surely it will be a non title fight for Peter to keep busy while he waits for Brittle-ly Klitschko to pull out and can make new plans.

now i dont like audley, in fact i cant stand him, but the old saying that styles make fights makes me think that if audley can keep the fight at distance then he could do well against peter, but its quite a big ask.

Skelton, as much as I admire a man who has done so much with so little natural talent, had already had too many undeserving chances and Fraudly has had one fight since getting wiped out at Southern Area level!
Well done to FW for getting Peter over here, tho
There is another british HW who I bet warren would love to have on his books who is keen to have a shot at a HW champion soon!

i think audley has a fair chance of doing well in this fight.. keep behind the jab all night and put the points in the bin.. could be done..

I aggree but idealy I'd like to see him urn a shot by doing something else or it'll further devalue the HW title rather than it being a positive step for him.

for audley/sprott, its a dream come true, getting a title shot and doing nothing for it.. for the hw division in general, its a bit of joke if it does happen as neither has earned it...

What undeserving chances? His world title shot may have been undeserving, but what else?
Ant Evans wrote:and Fraudly has had one fight since getting wiped out at Southern Area level!
He got wiped out at English title level not Southern Area level.

I'd give Skelton a real good chance against Peter, Peter Is awful and cant Ko a guy without clubbing them to the back of the head.
Skelton's a fouler too so It could be a big foulfest.
Funny to see If Audley fights scared against a guy he beat In the amateurs thoguh.

Audly beat Peter in the amateurs, but Peter was a kid with hardly any experience.
Infact, the main reason why Harrison won gold in Sydney(along with the Super Heavies being at an all time low point in terms of talent)was his advantage in experience over most fighters.
Audley cannot get a shot at a World Title.
If this goes ahead, Boxing is dead to me!

Audley got very lucky with the Olympics - for me I don't think the Russian (or whatever his nationality was) should have got stopped... and he was winning with 30 seconds left.

Was Harrison v Sprott for English Title? Take your word for it but hardly a big diff there, surely?
Was for the Vacant English title and also for Sprotts EBU-EU title

Peter KO's Harrison within four rounds.
I hope it's Skelton who gets the shot as he deserves it. WTF has Harrison done? He recently fought after being inactive for a while.
Peter will beat any of the two, but Skelton is more deserving than Harrison in my view.

Peter would destroy Harrison, I so hope this comes off.
Skelton-Peter could be a competitive maul....

I hope Harrison gets it, at least there will be a chance of an entertaining knockout.
Skelton v Peter would be really ugly and full of fouls and fairly sure to go 12. 12 rounds of ugly mauling and rabbit punches, can't believe anyone could seriously want to watch this? Skelton has had a world title shot which must be further than anyone seriously expected his career to go

yeah agree with that.
i' rather see audley make a meal of things than skelton maul his way to a defeat.

the consensus appears to be that audley has more of a chance of winning, is that the case. I think Harrison is the more skilled fighter but would be more convinced if he'd had a couple more warm up fights before taking this world title shot.

Peter's not that good to outbox a mauler like Skelton though, I'd prefer Skelton because he has a good chance at winning unlike Harrison.

Heavyweight boxing really is in the shitter if Skelton can win a world title.
A foulfest between Skelton and Peter for the WBC title would be an awful spectacle.
Matt comes across as a nice bloke but I can't stand to watch him "box", neither deserves a shot but for the good of the viewer lets see Audley get stopped again.
