No. Mayorga, in fact Hatton must face him, imagine how much money it would make.

Gunn used to be a welter? Can he get back down?

Seriously, If Hatton is fighting someone from a different weight, it should be a lightweight. Ricky's style isn't much good vs stronger man, but it's ideal vs weaker, smaller men.

I don't want Hatton-Mayweather II to be the Big One. Lazcano hit Ricky with a few too many counters for that fight to look realistic.

The big one should be Hatton vs Khan which is a genuine superfight over here. I don't think the seperate sides will be able to work together though.

Oh ok. If that is true then you won't see this.

I know the reason you despise Hatton so much is that he had your mum and sister in a sordid threesome during a trip they made to Manchester on a Network Rail weekend saver which was your family's first trip out of London ever.

Left them on their own, used and abused and from that day on you vowed Junior WItter would be the man who would wreak your revenge upon Ricky. But it never happened. Unlucky schmuk.

Well we all know hes fighting Malignaggi, Bradley/Pacquiao/Witter/Ngoudjo are the best fights out there at 140 for Hatton. Malignaggi may prepare him better for Floyd (then again Witter/Bradley may be better), not that he can beat Floyd anyway

Hattons at a rebuilding stage of his career and doesnt need anyone he isnt 70% favourate against so Malignaggi fits the bill nicely in that respect

Anyway, any different to the abuse DG has dished out to Hatton's family members? Or is that ok?

It's aimed at anyone who does it. There is no need for it, there's nothing wrong with a bit of banter but this talk of mothers and sisters getting 'fvcked' is out of order.

Can't believe anyone thinks Bradley or Witter would beat Hatton.

Even a Hatton who is lacking the intensity he showed prior and during the Tszyu fight beats them two like a drum.

It took Mayweather 10 rounds to get rid of him and there's guys on here who think he gets mauled in 3-7 rounds against Bradley or Witter. Give me a break.

Some people talk some right garbage on these forums.

I concede it was a regrettable transgression although I think DGs trolling of the forum is more detrimental in the grand scheme of things.

It's also true I don't have a girlfriend!

Well you can't believe that, Dirt Sugar can't believe that. What's the difference?

You also have the benefit of hindsight! :TU:

I reckon if Bradley-Hatton were announced tomorrow, the bookies would have Bradley as underdog, probably about the same level of underdog as Hatton was against Mayweather.

As much courage and heart that Hatton may have, I never thought he would beat Floyd. Infact on the day of the Mayweather fight I posted on here that I had put £10 on Mayweather winning in round 10.

Foresight can be an even better thing. :TU:

I think you miss the point a little bit.

It's one thing having a tenner on Mayweather and fancying him strongly to win - if you did that then good luck to you.

However stating you 'can't believe' people thought Hatton could win is entirely different surely? A much stronger statement, almost intimating a mismatch.

And going back to Bradley-Hatton, stating Bradley would bat Hatton aside in 3 rounds is just plain stupid. But it came from the fingers of DG so it's to be expected....

I'm not so sure about that. Hatton has mixed with a much higher class of opponent than Timothy Bradley. As impressive as Bradley was aginst Witter (who let's face it had an appalling night) I don't think that he's capable of showing Hatton anything new or posing him any problems that he isn't equiped to deal with. However I do think that Bradley's style would make for an excellent and tough challenge for The Hitman.

Anyway to answer the point of this thread, unless Hatton feels another tune-up is required, the choices of future opponent are fairly clear-cut. Paulie, Torres, Bradley (in no particular order) & yes, it wouldn't do any harm to round things off by giving Witter a shot as well.

If Hatton boxes like he did the other night Bradley might beat him, but if the Hatton from old turns up he would probably knock Bradley out, Bradley was nothing special dont get carried away DG. he was good but was just a good technical boxer who stuck to his game plan against Witter who was never really world class anyway lets face it. Cotto would smash Hatton up but Cotto is a welterweight, how do you think Hatton would go on against Bernard Hopkins then DG.?

Well, Hatton weighs more than B-Hop put of the ring so its a fair contest!

Cotto is a Welter? so?

Hatton thinks nothing of lining up or fighting former flyweights ( Pacman) - Lightweights Diaz - Lazcano - pederson - Smith - Pep etc etc.

As B-Hop said ' To be great - you must do great things'

I just think Bradlkey has more in the tank.

Hatton does not have the power to take him out wiuth even 3 shots, I think Bradley is way too fast and hungry for Hatton.

We will never find out.

hatton will fight malignaggi next.

despite the last 2 fights not being good he's still arguably the top contender at 140 right now.

Unless Hatton caught him with a pinpoint blow to the liver, I agree that Bradley wouldn't be phased by whats left of Hattons arsenal. In fact the only LWW champ who could feasably put a dent in Bradley is Torres.
No, physically the advantages would belong to Bradley but I reckon if Hatton used his jab and his above average inside-lateral movement, he could make Bradley miss more often than not and outwork him (I'm of course assuming that Hatton's slightly unrefined performance on Saturday was due largely to the fact it was a comeback from a very heavy defeat).

Sadly I think your final comment may ring true. The only way I envisage Hatton facing Bradley is if the latter manages to successfuly unify his belt.

A few more years of the champions not fighting the other champs and boxing will be all over.

Watch out for the rise of the UFC, boxing is doing all it can to make sure fight fans have something else to watch.

Imagine is Hagler - Leonard - Duran and Hearns all ran from eachother. In 15 years time what will we have to look back on? Belt hopping opportunist world champs avoiding the best. I think Bradley wants more glory - he will go for unification and Hatton won't want to know if Bradley improves.

Unless The Champs do great things, we are heading for a Pre Tyson era in the sport.

hatton unified 2 of the titles in the division.

and was promptly stripped.

if that's the reward he's getting out of it then u can't really blame him for picking and choosing who he's gonna fight.

it's not as if there has been a clear challenger emerge at 140 like say mikkel kessler did at 168.
