I'll go with Thompson as well. Been in some of the most savage fights I've ever seen. Tafer, Rothmann, the two with Eubank, and that fight with Dunstan that I've not seen was meant to be amazing.

Got to say, Magri was a bloody exciting little fighter. It wasn't till I watched his fights for research purposes, that I realised what a demon he was.

He, like Benn was also vulnerable in there, and as a consequence had to get off the floor to win a few of his biggest fights.

His fights with Udello, Mercedes and Laciar were really high octane affairs.

He had phenomenal punchpower for a flyweight as well, he absolutely decapitated Cedeno in their rematch in Spain, one of the most wicked knockouts I've ever seen.

It's hard to imagine now just how famous he was in his day, he was a huge star, considering how different the sport was then, and how much less Razzamatazz there was, and the fact he was a flyweight.

Had Charlie Been around today, I'm sure he would have had numerous title defences, a massive signing fee from a promoter, and would have retired a very very rich man, which alas, wasn't the outcome of his career.

James - read your book on Magri (James ghosted/wrote Charlie's autobiography) and it was very good. Some funny stuff. Give me a nudge early December and I'll review it for Christmas as it would be a good present.

Charlie is a great guy, used the same gym for 9 months, his. Some of the storys, fornicate did he get ripped off or what, Hes like oh well.
