Not saying they weren't giving it their all.. Just their all, clearly isn't that good, and was very scarppy.

mmm learning fight for both, i think this will improve both winner and loser, unfortunatly alot of Ingle trained boxers end up in scappy fights, but i don't agree this was one of them.

Enjoyable fight I thought. Siddique clearly not used to preparing for hard rounds against a competetive fighter and just ran out of steam.

Must have shattered the illusions of a lot of those Bradford lads. Funny to see them all stood up at ringside shadow boxing

I'm not sure how many of you have seen gethin before but I think he's being under-rated slightly and not getting his respect for the performance and win.

for a kickoff as far as the 'padded record' goes he's only had just over half the amount of fights Sid's had so they are hardly to be compared for their respective 'padding', he has gone away from home and handed it to a more-touted fighter with much more experience. someone say 'well done Gethin' maybe? seems all everyone is interested in is Siddique. who showed some brass, true, but lost.

Gethin would hammer Lee Meager into the middle of next week, too, by the way. IMO

Autobarn- as far as I know Gethin will still be fighting Fewkes for the English title.

definitely, well done to Gethin. He went in there, put in a brave showing, and got the stoppage against the odds. Can't fault that.

I thought maybe they'd want a British title shot if it was available, as he could come unstuck vs Fewkes for the English title.

true. actually as a fan of gethin's i wonder if Fewkes is a good fit for him stylewise. Gethin's a decent allrounder though can box bang and brawl a bit.

i wonder if a cute boxer could be too slick for him. mind you Sid can box a bit and that didn't help him :)

gethin - Murray might be a nicer fit for Gethin stylewise and would be a guaranteed barnbuster, also.

Fewkes is a tricky boxer who can really move. Even Murray's trainer wasn't happy about fighting Fewkes last May, with only 10 rds to beat a fast, moving target in a big-ish ring. Before Fewkes pulled out.

I figured Gethin facing Sid was a bloody hard fight, that it might earn him something, maybe instead of Fewkes. Sid and Fewkes in consecutive fights is a big ask.

I had a sneaky feeling Gethin could do Sid, more comfortable at the weight and Ingle fighters don't tend to fare that well against real decent quality pressure-type fighters- which Gethin is. I would like to see Gethin get some more top level seasoning before fighting either Fewkes or murray tbh, Sid was a big step up for him even if he did come through.
