Sounds like Lacy was rubbish. I always knew it would go wrong for him. When everyone was in love with him in 2005, I kept saying that this guy would be a sitting duck after his peak.

Since I started boxpicks I've never been so interested in boxing, watching bouts I wouldn't normally dream of. Glorious thing.

He was poor fro what I've read, Taylor will have his way with him, and I'd fancy Froch to KO him if they ever fought.

Lacy v Taylor will go ahead cannot see how it wouldn't unless Hennessey offered Taylor millions to come here.

Taylor is, and always has been, a big HBO fighter and the face of Everlast too.

He aint going to be risked in a provincial fight in the UK for contender fees.

I saw the Lacy v Mendoza fight last night. Lacy was in huge trouble in the 2nd round. If he fights Jermain Taylor, expect to see Taylor KO him.

Do you think Lacy will even want the fight with Taylor after how poorly he has performed in his fights since Calzaghe?

He was on unsteady legs last night and must know that he will be up against it Vs Taylor. Would he really want to go through another beating ala Calzaghe?

Of course, there's the money side of things. I'm sure Lacy will be well paid for a Taylor fight but will he be confident enough to take on the task? How will his camp feel about putting him in with Taylor, based on Lacy's recent performances?

While Taylor and co. were hoping Lacy would just win, I'm sure Lacy and his team were looking for a strong, dominant, confident performance.

Then again, if Lacy is now shot, and is aware of that, he may want to cash-in before, soon, hanging up the gloves.

He's never had the in between fight has he?

Barney, Reid, Dodson, Magee, Porras etc are all at a certain level, he's never had the top ten fight he's needed and as such his 'apprenticeship' looks incomplete but we also know those opponents have never looked eager to tackle him.

But the worthy, but narrow pre-occupation with the WBC does narrow the field too.

Quite, until he fights someone that isnt either a washed up British fighter or a European that most people on here haven't even heard of, im just not sure how on earth the names Taylor, Lacy and Frotch can all be mentioned in the same sentence
