2004 British Boxing team had a 100% record.

Seeing as Khan was the entire British Boxing team .

Kudos to Khan then though, did well.

Except he was beaten by Mario Kindelan in the final, so it was actually an 80% record (4 wins out of 5 bouts).

Ah yes. What i meant by 100% record was every Member getting a medal. Which is what happened with Khan

How did we do in 1948 when the olympics was held in London?

Two Silvers out of the 8th weight classes. John Wright at Middleweight and Donald Scott at Light-Heavyweight.
Wright lost to the legendary Lazlo Papp in the Middleweight final, no shame there.

Will we be allowed to have a full allocation in 2012? I'm sure I have heard that as the host country we could have 1 fighter per weight class.

How many individual Olympic sports where you are permitted to take more than 1 athlete per category (no matter the standard of competition from others from the same country).

With the system in place for entry into the olympics This is our most successfull year yet .

To be honest it is already one of our better games just by getting all those fighters qualified and with the system that is know in place.
If it continues it will almost guarantee us of medal success

I think that the amateur setup has moved along very well on an international basis. That format is what it is. There are no guarantees about who will shine and come through, let alone as an pro.

I was part of the Young England squad pre '89 and remember the coaches, Hickey on the periphery at that time, Irwin who seemed to be a clone harking on about the east Europeans and how technically gifted they were. They showed videos which substantiated what they said. Even I realised then that they were systematically trained on a basis that we would find hard to compete with on an equal footing. And that was never truer when it came to the big amateur tournaments. There has been so many of our boxers that may have done more given the correct preparation for a 5 fight series over 2 weeks

Somewhere along the line the ABAE have got it right. They've invested money and time with these boxers in an understated manner understanding the difficulty of the return. Good luck to Edwards and team GB. I hope they bring back some medals that makes other sports stand up and take notice.
