Joe Frazier feeds a lot of this stuff...He suggests the judges were paid off in the second fight and the punishment he took in Manila wasn't that bad...
If you watch the authorized biopic Ali ,Joe Frazier gets his due credit for winning the first fight*...He also gets credit for being a good guy when he tries to loan Ali money during his suspension when Ali was broke and largely living off the good will of friends and what he could earn for speaking engagements...
To Ali, the Rumble In The Jungle is his signature fight..Foreman was 40-0 with 37 knockouts and considered invincible...
*There are a lot of armchair judges at this site...Even in the FOTC Ali won ten different rounds on the three judges' card...
