Yeah I think Mr Warren always works off the independent (IBO) ratings.

Arias is rated at 54 while Audley is 30 something, so like you say he could have done a lot worse considering the notice he had. With the greatest of respect to the Cliff Couser who was on here saying he had been turned down I think Arias is a better choice. When Couser has stepped up he has been getting knocked out early, whereas Arias has been going the distance with the better European based boxers, and even managed to upset the apple cart in Denmark by beating Steffan Nielsen.

Not as good an opponent as Sprott but certainly better than some would have hoped I think.

To the charismatic Mr Chambers Froch makes my blood boil while Harrison just irritates me. In interviews Froch has never been humble and brags about his abilities so much I get angry watching him. To be honest I would love to support him since he lives in the East Midlands, as I do. I was never a fan of Naz or Eubanks for the same reason. I like to see fighters with confidence but arrogance is another matter. I suppose it stems from my schooldays and arrogant bullies who I always found myself challenging. I should support Harrison as well as we both grew up in the same part of London.

I can't believe I missed Eubank from my list, he was 'Simply The Best', just thinking about his ringwalk and his pre-fight posturing makes my hair stand on end.

I view it all as pantomime arrogance, it's just abit of self-publicity and entertainment in the name of the sport and ££££'s, it adds interest to the sport for me especially when we get an excellent pre fight build-up as in Hatton-PBF (damn it I think I've just payed Money Hatton a compliment).

It shouldn't be taken too seriously IMO, I'd imagine that a very high percentage of arrogant boxers are top blokes when not in the ring or in front of a camera. All good boxers have to have an enormous amount of self confidence to be good at the job they're in, I think that in some cases this self confidence surfaces itself as arrogance, which is probably to reiterate their Greatness to themselves alot of the time (I regularly do you my Ali 'I AM THE GREATEST!!' impression in the mirror when I'm feeling abit low ). Muhammad Ali is one of my heroes and that's more down to his charisma/arrogance/confidence (call it what you will) than his exceptional boxing ability.
