Poor silly bastard has not worked out that the British government stopped transportation to New South Wales in 1849 to stop people getting themselves locked up to get out of England.
An ancestor of mine had a cousin who was transported from Ireland in the 1790s for taking part in a rebellion. Some years later he got a letter from him saying "Come quick! The English have gone mad and sent us to paradise!"

Funso you seem to be someone that knows there stuff on this forum however like most on boxing forums you go off what you see on a video instead of actuall boxing knowledge.
In the Heavyweight Division anyone can get caught early that is why they make so much money.
And against Rahman Kali was'nt 100%, I have watched Kali over many years and he is a legitimate threat in this day and age of the heavyweight Division.

I most strongly agree with the newby Kali is the first number 1 rated Heavy in a very long time but gets NO respect because most of you havent been around long enough to see him in his prime

Need I remind you that Danny Williams knocked him down once in about 20 seconds? And then when Kali got up, he was immediately knocked down again? That means in about 30 total seconds of boxing, he has half the knockdown tally that Haye has amassed in 22 fights.
Now, I'm not a Kali hater. He's good to watch and I've nothing against him. But he has ONE fringe world level win (Williamson), and as undeniably impressive as the KO was, it was against a guy in his late 30s who has a known weak chin and is on the small side for a heavyweight.
By all means support your boys, but keep it in perspective. Look at Billy "the next Naz" Dib.

If Williamson has such a suspect chin, how is it that apart from an early prelim fight Mesi was the only heavy to KO him before Meehan? Also, since when has 6'4" and 220lbs small?
The Williams fight was 12 years ago. You and Funbags both live in the past.

Some movements among the Boxrec heavyweight rankings, including Kali Meehan moving up from 32 to 20 without fighting anybody.
What is happening? Are they throwing dice or have they changed their system again?

The fighters move up and down through inactivity Brute, If guys above Meehan havnt fought or fought worse oposition they will drop down. Im not sure how often it is done though.

No, the Williams fight was seven years ago. And yes, in this day and age 220lb IS small for a heavyweight. And yes, Williamson is known for not being able to take a shot.
Again, I've got nothing against Meehan and it's fair enough you guys support him. But COME ON, he is FRINGE world class at best, his ranking flatters him, and when his career-best win is against DaVarryl Williamson - who has fallen WAY short of world title class, however you want to slice it - then talk of him beating the undisputed cruiserweight champion, even at heavyweight, is a little fanciful.

And when has Haye proved he is more than just fringe world class, He hasnt proved a thing at heavyweight and beating Maccrinelli dosnt prove shit. Morcormeck is his best win and even then he isnt anything special. If Haye starts winning big fights at HEAVYWEIGHT then i will believe the hype. At the moment he is 50/50 in my book with the 10-30 ranked heavyweights at best. Never mind the top 10's

Fair comment, but people act like heavyweight boxing is a different sport sometimes. IMO beating MORMECK, Maccarinelli, even Gurov and Fragomeni, proves more than Meehan has, even allowing for the difference in weight.

Moving from Cruiser to Heavy is very different from moving from middle to super middle. We're not talking about a jump of 8lbs, we are talking about a jump of 30lbs+ lbs even up to 120lbs in some cases... I wouldn't underestimate the weight difference...

No, I don't underestimate it, but I also think some people OVERestimate weight differences. For example, Chris Byrd did all right, despite routinely giving away 30-60lb.
True enough, not too many cruisers have made the leap successfully, so judgement should be reserved on Haye, but I think his shape and style should translate to greater achievements than, for example, Al Cole, Orlin Norris, Kelvin Davis, etc.

Although Haye is a superior boxer, i liken it a little to another pom, Herbie Hide. He was gong swimmingly untill he started meeting true heavyweights. only time will tell though.

Haye was down once against Thompson; he took the fight too soon in his career and was gassed more than anything, he was blowing hard by the 3rd (too many easy blowouts in the lead-up). Ben to say that Kali is better than Thompson is utterly ludicrous IMO. Thompson beat some very good fighters in his career and was a very, very cagey fighter. Haye V Meehan? I've seen them both fight live and Haye would absolutely walk it IMO

Thompson was 40 mate
Until Haye beats legit heavyweights it is all just Hype Monty, He looks great beating up Cruisers but what happens when a legit Heavyweight lands on his chin.
