Amazing little man, just how far can he go? Deserves a World title shot IMO.

Howe had poor defence and got caught heavy and flush. After that he struggled to get his senses back before being put down again. Macca lost to Swaby early on in his career in a fight he was winning so who knows Howe may learn from this, come back and do well as Macca did. Maybe in his head he thought Ingleby was just a journeyman to beat and didnt respect the experiance Ingleby had gathered. Thats the trouble with people building fighters up and talking too early about them going on to win titles. They need to get some fights under their belts first to see how well they do and I am sure thats your view also. All is not lost but its back to the Gym for now and a lot of sparring before he takes his next fight I think.

I love Ian Napa, I could watch him fight all day. He overcame some massive physical disadvantages to win last night (Napa could compete a division or 2 below what he is), really pleased for him and how his career has gone since he came back.

Well chuffed for Napa. Another veteran British boxer (following Thaxton) who has kept with it and finally realised their dreams of winning a European title. Fantastic achievement.

That was another tough nights work for Napa and he timed the distance just right (but with not too much to spare on the scorecards). The the right man won IMO, I scored two rounds 10-8 even though no knock down occurred in one of those rounds, but he won the round clearly and hurt his man with bodshots on about 3 occasions. Napa went some way to converting the idea that he is a non-puncher too.

Two new EBU champs in two weeks...things are looking good :TU:

Ironic in someways that it was Napa and not Damean Kelly that won the EBU Bantam title - following their fight you would have never guessed.

I can't remember what happened in that fight, can you fill me in?

Kelly stuffed him, a masterclass - won on points every round. Made Napa look like strictly domestic class. But then, Kelly did that in the EBU title fight and lost.

I think it's fair to say that Napa was a different mental animal then to now.

No doubt, but Kelly was world class IMO and would have beaten him every time - the manner of the win was to convincing to think otherwise. Good little fight.

Glad to hear on Bunce's boxing show last week that if they go for a world title, they will step down in weight to do so

Fantastic achievement by Napa. Hope he gets a shot at superfly though its a very tough division at the top what with Mijares, Darchinyan, Montiel, Munoz and Arce but it would be nice to see how he copes when he is not at a considerable disadvantage is size and at the higher level. Incidently I think he has the style to give Munoz problems - shame he aint a title holder anymore. But Mijares and Montiel are real class operators.
