I can't believe you're even surprised that Hillyard didn't make the weight - He's never been dedicated to the game, and is vastly overrated too :p

Wright is worth a punt in my opinion.

He's been in with some good opposition already and done alright. I never viewed him as a very hot prospect so don't have the same expectations.

Asking him to make 10st 9lbs was just unrealistic.
He should be able to make the weight hypothetically...he's quite short and his frame isn't big. He's just a greedy bastad and that may be why it was unrealistic...

winner of wright v minter for me; one of these two v
Lomax in final; don't fancy bami to do much personally.

It's hard to look past the quality and experience of both Wright and Bami. Minter could be a live one but may burn humself out early.

Lomax could be worth a punt. Is he the guy cuts a bit and always gets into brawls? Should be a good tournament anyway after the cumbersome heavies last time.

Thought that was stopped a bit early, Ferrens did well for the first couple of minutes. Bami did have him going in the end, but thought Ferrens could of been given a chance.

Yeah it seemed a premature one. Ferrans came out and boxed well early but Bami's power told.

Lloyd wins on points against Conway, well 26 might have lost a few quid there.
Conway was a bit dissapointing, he couldn't get his better longrange boxing going, kept ending up with his back on the ropes, wasn't very pretty by Lloyd but his overall aggression and volume of punches see him through,

Well Wright was definitely jobbed, but ironically Lomax may do better than expected against Bami because of his style, (as we just saw in the first)...

Styles definitely make fights....

Lomax does well again in the second.... his style is unusual.

He fights a bit 'scared' - he leans back a lot, but I think he just has to stay on his feet now for the 25k!

It's all gone out the window for Edward!

Could someone like DeGale come straight in and win the prizefighter at middle, 3 rounds would suit him, used to picking up points.
knows how to win and how to pace himself.

Wright was robbed. Wright 2 out of 3 definately. Dont care what they said on Sky, Nelson in particular, Wright won his fight. Had Wright been given the win he would have won prizefighter. Bami wasnt very good tonight, just looking for the big punch rather than showing he can box. Lomax fought pretty scrappy in his first two fights and didnt look good. Got the decision in the first and won by split decisions against Wright and Bami. He did win the final but Ian John Lewis acting as a judge saw it for Bami. Just my opinion but I thought the night was poor, while on paper it looked potentially good. More clinches than we got with the HWs, who are known for leaning on. The refs were kept busy splitting all the fighters up throughout the tournament. A night to forget as far as I am concerned with Lomax winning but IMO not deserving to.

He could but it would be one hell of a risk. He would have to win three fights on his debut, not impossible but a big ask of him.

No it didn't really hit the heights this time, kind of reminded me of an amateur night, alotof the fights were scrappy, thats what got me think about someone like DeGale or Frankie Gavin being able to win their respective weight classes on debuts.

maybe its where you only had one puncher with Bami in there, with the Heavywieghts Ko's or knockdowns are more common, so adds to excitment.
Think for the middleweights , Barry Hearn should look at getting a couple more decent punchers in there, boxers such as Darren McDermott, Cello Renda, Patrick J. Maxwell.

I think you were brainwashed by Adam Smith & Jim Watt, the more work and aggression came from Lomax, neither of them were very good but unless we have changed the way we score a fight from week to week the right man got it.
