You're not paying for De La Hoya vs Pac?

You aren't a boxing fan then.

Not a boxing fan?

I am NOT paying £45.00 a month to SKY and then PAYING £15.00 more for a bloody fight!

I only have sky for boxing! I might as well get the kiddie mix opackage for £17.00 and buy a PPV every few months.

I am not paying based on principle!

DG not a boxing fan?

That's a good one!

I pay for Setanta also - are they charging me more to watch David Haye Fight? NO NO NO!

But I am expected to pay for Khan? All this DLH Vs Pacman is a smoke screen - its Khan you are paying for!!!

ALSO- Hatton fights soon - you paying for that as well? I AM NOT!!!

I can afford it but I ONLY GOT SKY FOR THE BOXING - all these fights should be free!

Its the principle, I should not have to shell out more money to line the pockets of sky.

I won't get my friends round to pay for this but I will to watch the free link!

There are ways to. However, the quality won't be very good.

Khan PPV part 2

Feck this, no way am I paying £15 to line Frank and Khan's pockets.

I'm off to Nottingham for the Froch bill, then I'll catch DLH-Paq the next day on the interweb.

Chaps, lets not give in to this crap. Lets send a clear message we won't pay for this rubbish.

Most of us can probably afford it but its the principle. Setanta do it right. They provide a quality product so I'm happy to pay for it.

SBO do not, end of.

i dont agree that setanta is good value for boxing fans

its £14 ????? a month, most shows are on at daft o'clock, and 1/10 of them involve british fighters

sky sports is the best value at £7 a month

what British shows do setanta have that are on at normal viewing time ????

PPV is different matter, WWF is on PPV for fcuks sake, so if that can make money in the UK then im sure Khan/ODH/Pacman are worth it

But is SKY really £7.00? You can not just call up and say 'can I have sky sports for £7.00'

I am sure a lot of us only have SKY for the Boxing but you have to have other packages!

Either way, I am not paying for this.

Not a donkeys chance in hell of Gethin being the opponent. Gethin is so under-rated, like someone said on here his last 2 opponents people were expecting Gethin to be the loser and he won both fights handily.

It'll be Derrick Gainer or someone like that.

I heard about a month ago from a friend who's a friend of someone who trains with Gethin that he'd been approached and was possibly fighting Khan in his next fight, but as you're aware messages that come via a friends friends are not always accurate

When will people realise that PPV has little to do these days wtih the quality of fighter, and everything to do with the economics of raising enough money to make a fight happen.

If this fight is going on PPV, it would seem to me that the first one didn't do as badly as people here predicted/hoped/said, and that it sold enough to be economically viable.

Those cynical TV b*stards know that the layperson will pay to see Khan get KO'd again, or come back. It's far more compelling viewing now he'd been battered.

I will not be buying this. I'm not having 'the economics of making a fight happen' - what a load of crap. So how do we get ANY fights at all that aren't PPV? If you're saying it's the economics of making Khan a shitload of money, well he doesn't deserve a lot of money and should be taking a pay cut.

Yes, but he was clever enough to sign a fixed contract with Frank, wasn't he?

It is suggesting you don't pay for this rip off, thats what.

Just because it is PPV doesn't mean the last one sold enough to be economically viable at all. The Prescott fight was widely reported to be a disaster economically.

Frank, Sky and Amir signed a long term deal with Sky for Khan to be on PPV.

Well, don't pay for it then. I would suggest, though, that plenty of people did last time out, which is why they're doing it again this time.

PPV is a big risk, so they must be reasonably confident.
