Thinking on it - I can't remember if my BM has come this month - I was wondering why I haven't read it. Will look, I must have moved the mail.

Strange really but I feel quite comfortable in specialising in what is most definitely becoming an archaic form of media. Must be through getting older meself, but certainly there is some added posterity value to printed matter and given boxing's long history, it seems kind of apt. Anyways, all the best chaps.

Here in Thailand, I can't get the British mags, but my mum's just popped over for a visit and brought with her 2 x BM and 2 x BN and I'm as happy as a dog with two tails. Yes, I read the boxing websites every day, but nothing beats a good mag IMO. (We get Oscar's Ring here, which I do pick up for lack of anything better but usually it winds me up, Daily Mail-style, and I did buy Boxing Digest once, which reminded me more of a wrestling fanzine).

As for the OP's gripe, if the sarcasm that POURED out of the presentation of the Oscar piece went over your head, I suggest moving to the US as quickly as possible.

Liked the Francis interview - looks like he's got his shot now, though the crafty Erdei is going to be near impossible to beat on home ground..

Great shot, MW, one I've never seen of this 'fight'. Goldstein also allowed Floyd Patterson to be knocked down SEVEN times by Ingemar Johansson in the third round before he called a halt.
