Scrappy fight, Williams was just not good enough. I had him losing on points when the big left put him down. Williams did enough fouling so the Pol just retaliated. I didnt expect much and sure enough it was about how I saw it before the fight. Williams wouldnt give an interview, not surprising after such a bad loss. He really needs to retire now, his dreams of a title are definately over. Sad end to an up/down career that has at times seen Danny shining.

At cruiserweight, Haye not only beat the man who beat the man for the recognised title in said man's back garden, but then flattened a local pretender who many fancied to best him, thus establishing his claim to be asbolute & total undisputedly number one at the weight (apart from two people on the Current Scene & the household of Stevie Cunningham).

His reign wasn't a long one, to put it mildly, but d'you see Amir doing that?

On the matter I think Williams should retire but I understand if he doesn't want to go out on a loss so a British Title fight may be the time.

I know haye has achieved more than Amir, but the british scene is getting old, and some of our younger fighters have failed....I hope Haye can regain our confidence.

Remember Lennox Lewis won the British Title against Gary Mason and Glen Mason. We were very lucky when we had Audley Skelton and Sprott because all were good at a level but the British HW scene has never been stocked with world beaters.

It was actually a close fight, the scores were ridiculous. Lawrence did deserve a close decision win though.

I reckon Sosnowski will be a wanted man around Europe, his European rating will be pretty good off the back of this so Id imagine guys like Oleg Platov will be looking to get him to fight them so they can win and jump the queue for a European title shot.
