I think Rendall wins this one anyway but as Frank said Martinez is the mandatory now so the fight can't happen anyway, add to that Dunne's cut and even if for some strange reason Martinez would step aside, (which I can't see happening) Dunne might not be right until April time anyway.

Hopefully Rendall get's home advantage against Kiko as I think he will need it, I think Rendall wins but strangely enough I am more nervous second time around as Martinez must know he has to do something different.

Decent bill the Dublin one on the 18th, Watson's fight is decent and I think Hughes could give Booth all sorts of problems to be honest, would not be at all surprised if he nicks this on points

not sure what he can do, martinez never struck me as a 'plan b' fighter?

can see what you mean but I just thought he assumed he would land the bomb and when it did not come he ran out of ideas but if memory serves the judges still had it pretty close and a knockdown in one of the rounds Rendall was winning may have turned it around.

Although you could be right perhaps there is little else to his game other than bullying and big shots, If Rendall turns him over again he would be deserving of a world title shot but its gonna be very hard even for Frank to pull that one off.

Caballero holds two belts and will surely look for a unification with Lopez whilst Vazquez presumably if he fights again will go back in with Marquez.

Shame for Rendall as these are his best years but he has already achieved so much and perhaps if he keeps hold of the Euro crown he could get a shot at the winner of Lopez/Caballero on one of the big yank cards, stranger things have happened

yeah basically i'm not sure he's versatile enough

tho like you say if he starts the fight with a different plan it could be different it's a lot more difficult to change plans and adapt when you're in there at the time

Munroe is one of my favourite boxers in England, but for some reason, I think he would struggle against Dunne. He's definitely punching above his weight, and has struggled with Bouaita and Martirosian. He has struggled trying to gauge the right distance to throw his punches, and does get caught coming in and going out. It's something I think he needs to work on and hopefully against Trotta we will see an improved performance. The win against Martinez was special, but the Spaniard is horribly one-dimensional and anyone with a decent chin/good defence and fast hands will always outpoint him (he's the Lacy of 122lbs).

I would love to see Munroe/Dunne whether it be in Ireland or England but only if the money's right for Munroe as he is champion. Even if Rendall loses it still leaves him in good stead and he would receive a massive payday. Remember, there's always decent domestic match-ups like Marsh and Moran to be made, so it's a win-win situation in essence. If Martinez is mandatory then Munroe should probably out point Kiko again and then this fight becomes a lot closer to happening - would Dunne then be mandatory? If so then I would reluctantly have to plump for a Dunne 116-113 decision, irrelevant whether it be in Ireland or England.

He will get home advantage we have done a deal with Team Martinez that why he on in Dublin on the 18 and will then fight Rendall in the UK in Febuary Some of us in this game work for our fighters benefit.That what we are pay for.

So it's looking like Trotta, Martinez, Dunne and then a world title shot (providing he beats them three)?

Never expected anything less Frank to be honest, glad he has it and he deserves it. I really hope he wins again and see nothing other than the power angle from the Spaniard to stop him doing that.

Presume then the Peters camp will start screaming for there man to get Rendall, it will be a good fight but by god Frank, I bet you are gonna make em pay large for it and rightly so

It's likely(99.9% imo) that Simeone Maludrottu will become mandatory after Martinez. So a Dunne v Munroe fight would not be mandated till August 2010 or something like that.

Maludrottu imo is extremely overated by the sanctioning bodies and only there because of his run as European Bantamweight champion. Munroe or Dunne should be able to deal with him comfortably.
