Much better fight anyway.

Not sure if Francis would go for it even though he's won fights at cruiser (inc the English title). For one, it wouldn't be for the title outright (so it's doubtful Deao would take a massive risk like fighting Mac for half a title, if that). Also, if Francis gave away his Commonwealth belt and then pulled out of the Erdei fight - apparently both down to personal issues - I'm not certain he's up for anything really big.stujones wrote:A great coup would be to get the 39 year old Fragomeni on board - could have the WBC and Interm WBO title on the line there.
Doubt that would happen
I suspect, Rob Norton or Dean Francis to get an Interim shot - especially if Dean's light heavyweight shot vs Erdei is off.
Fight is 100 per cent off, nothing further on a revised fight but Banks is outwhicker wrote:Lets be honest- there has been no proof offered at all that this "rumoured pull out" is true, so until we hear something we can assume it is not.
How do you know?GLOBALBOX wrote:Fight is 100 per cent off, nothing further on a revised fight but Banks is outwhicker wrote:Lets be honest- there has been no proof offered at all that this "rumoured pull out" is true, so until we hear something we can assume it is not.
Not going into details but I don't believe in posting crap (although some of my tips might be considered so) just wanted to make anyone aware who might be booking hotels or buying tickets on the principle of seeing Banks/Maccarinelli, it wont be happening on Dec 6th.Asterix wrote:How do you know?GLOBALBOX wrote:Fight is 100 per cent off, nothing further on a revised fight but Banks is outwhicker wrote:Lets be honest- there has been no proof offered at all that this "rumoured pull out" is true, so until we hear something we can assume it is not.
What are you expecting, Frank or his friend boxingchat to come on here and say "you're dead right guys the fights off. Actually we don't even have a replacement lined up as Bobby Gunn wanted too much money for the rematch. So we know about as much as you guys at the minute. If you have any suggestions for a replacement please give myself or Frank a call."whicker wrote:Lets be honest- there has been no proof offered at all that this "rumoured pull out" is true, so until we hear something we can assume it is not.
Frank's Risk-Reward ratio will ensure that fight doesn't happen.Abbo wrote:PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FWANK, GET SOMEONE INTERESTING IN!

No, but usually pullouts are reported at some stage by someone, and a reason given. As such, I was wondering if there was a link to a news story, personal website, blog or whatever from anyone invloved that confirms this.fatton wrote:What are you expecting, Frank or his friend boxingchat to come on here and say "you're dead right guys the fights off.whicker wrote:Lets be honest- there has been no proof offered at all that this "rumoured pull out" is true, so until we hear something we can assume it is not.
I know what you are saying but 1) FW needs to put big bills on at the mo, he's not winning at the mo 2) FW isnt afraid of throwing a fighter to the lions if he thinks he's dodgy, and I think FWTerribleTerry wrote:Frank's Risk-Reward ratio will ensure that fight doesn't happen.Abbo wrote:PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FWANK, GET SOMEONE INTERESTING IN!

Expect some typically conservative last minute match making from FW and his boys..
