Actually he was the victim of a pretty awful attack some time after the Audley fight. He took an axe to the back of the head (!), and hand, before allegedly fighting off three assailants.
There were clips of the unlicensed boxing at the Circus Tavern, with people like Roy Shaw ringside. It looked really grim, with idiots head butting and kicking each other in the ring as much as punching.

It was alledged that he was attacked as a warning, he was giving too much away in the doc he was making and his bosses didn't like it. The doc ended up being recut and Dom disappeared for a while.

Saw something on Bravo about it. Peter Hymer? the heavyweight champ knocked someone out in the first round and his mates jumped in the ring squaring up to Peter so he offered to fight them one after another and duely knocked them out too. Also showed some ugly fights with kicks, knees etc. Shades of the underrated boxing classic film - Gladiator!

he does 4x2s but championship fights are 6x2s the ring is smaller so you cant run it aint a bad night you could get on these shows bill there are a few ex pro.s on the shows paul king had loads of these mark potter is on there also kevin mitchell (the cruiser weight )
From what i saw on the Danny Dyer show he seemed like a right gobshite. Danny Dyer was making out he could have been undisputed world heavy weight champ had he been dedicated. Leave off, so could i if i dedicated myself to it from the age of four. Negus was tapping the pads when Dyer was holding them and Dyer was making out he was getting hit from a Hayemaker.

They overplay his cage fighting/MMA career in the documentary - he was a straight up kickboxer (and street fighter) for the longest part of his career. MMA was a brief dalliance that came at the end of his competitive fighting career.
