Pro boxing is a business, and Warren's job is to make his boxers look the best option to watch in the country, so he will take the oppurtunatly to slag off other boxers when he can.
Just can't work out why everyone gets worked up by it, we are the anoraks of the boxing world, we know bullshit when we hear or read it

Warren said something to that effect when the Haye-Macca was initially on the slate. Of course, Warren tried to tie Haye to options and Haye baulked.
Can't blame him really. Macca started that "I signed the contract - why didn't David? Is he scared?" Which was poor form considering Macca had all the cards in that deal. Warren then came out and said Macca would have won anyway, Haye was dead at cruiser and had hand troubles.
Typical Warren really. He's always been fond of a bit of double speak. if he listened and responded to criticism rather than trying to sue everyone he might improve his own reputation.
Just can't work out why everyone gets worked up by it, we are the anoraks of the boxing world, we know bullshit when we hear or read it
It's because Warren himself is litigious about ANY criticism made of him. I remember forum threads disappearing because they criticised Warren in the title.

For the same reason people would think Alex Ferguson was a twat if he started making up crap about Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

At least he acknowledges that Haye wants to fight the best.
How many of the fighters Wazza has promoted have fought the best?
Hatton-Zoo?
Oh, and Enzo Macc who got KTFO. And then some. And then a bit more.
If Wazza was 50% less bitter he'd still be a prick. And a bitter one at that.
Does he actually like boxing? He clearly wants any fighter not on his books to lose. Heavily. Especially those who leave him.
How patriotic.

Exactly. Fwank takes a pop at Haye almost on a weekly basis. He still hasn't got over that destruction of Enzo. The man is full of s**t.
He might have a hand problem, then again he might not. A lot of Big punchers have bad hands.
Big deal F rank.

Warren's inside scoop on Haye's "BAD" hands...
Posted: 21 Dec 2008, 11:40
by Hayefever
Warren: 7 Jan 2007
"It's a badly kept secret that Haye has a bad hand which could go at any time and I'm not in the business of providing him with a pension fund.
'I've made him a more than generous offer and if he really fancies his chances, then he should step up to the plate and accept the (Enzo) fight."
Warren: 20 Dec 2008
"there are rumours Haye has a hand problem so he is fast-tracking his ambition."
In this 22 month "bad hand" period Haye produced some decent form:
Tomasz Bonin (36-1) K.O. 1
Jean Marc Mormeck (33-3) K.O. 7
Enzo Maccarinelli (28-1) K.O. 2
Monte Barrett (34-6) K.O. 5
How good could Haye be if his "Bad Hands" were Healthy?!?!?
The "rumour" Warren speaks of, is the one he himself started two years ago!
You can't help but love our Fwanky Boys inside scoops.... LOL

F rank Warren has it in for Haye because David is not stupid enough to sign with him.
Just imagine where Haye's career would be if he had signed with Warren!
He'd be fighting the likes of Bobby Gunn next Summer & then maybe a shot at the British CW title after that!

boxings dear leader the beloved allegedly should not be bought into disrepute. he is an extremely clever man [well pedanticly litigious* anyway] and knows what he says.
he has a reading age beyond the average sun reader [7 i think]
http://www.cimt.plymouth.ac.uk/resource ... eading.htm , and he knows that even though he never once said barrett 'knocked' haye down... that is the the impression someone with the reading age of a seven year old would get from the picture
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... 056819.ece
also the wording "downs haye" and "haye hits the floor" is too vague to be false or litigated against for suggesting barrett had anything to do with haye hitting the floor.
incidently i once heard a rumour that allegedly is still breast feeding.

*i dont share our dear leaders lawfull understanding of words, therefore i dont know if 'litigious' is indeed a word.

It would have been funny though a couple of members of Team Haye would have driven poor Mr W arren mad!!! - and whilst they were at it they could have put "Boxing Tw*t From Brentwood Who Crys When He is Sacked" in his place too!!!

It's like how Enzo Macc and Frank repeatedly told us how Herbie Hide had said yes to fighting Enzo and the he suddenly changed his mind, and "bottled" it. I fully believe Hide when he said that he only turned down the fight, after accepting, because Frank tried to get him to sign something along the lines of Hide dropping a court case against Frank. He works on the theoretical side of things does Frank, a master of it some would say - he can now say, without lying, that Hide turned them down, but what he doesn't tell us is that he only turned it down because Frank then asked too much of him, regarding politics of the sport. Arsehole, he is.

Boring drivel about how Skelton is the best heavyweight in the UK - and wait for it = it will all be down to F ranks promotional techniques blah blah!!
F rank will again be requesting Skelton fights Haye and all that b*llocks!!! - in fact its that blatantly obvious I might buy the Daily Mirror instead!!!
Skelton would be a good test for Haye - size, stamina, chin and a fair dig.

For once it's a Warren column I don't have a problem with.
He gives Haye credit for his ambition but makes him a big underdog against Vitali - pretty much the same line as most are towing.
And saying a Hatton-Mayweather rematch is pointless is also fair enough.

Oliver, sorry have to disagree about it being a test.
David wouldnt allow Skelton to "wrestle" and bully his way into the fight - Skelton would be at the end of a solid jab and some wicked punches - the thing you don't mention is would Skelton be able to take those punches - I suggest not.

He's probably take them better than Barrett, and he's a big, strong lumbering sort.
Could see Haye beating Skelton by KO as well, but not that quickly.
Certainly would have been decent prep for Klitschko.
Slow jab, big, strong....not terribly mobile, but rugged, and not pretty to watch.

There is no doubt if Haye allowed it Skelton would be a test with regards his size - but I am not so sure about Skeltons chin, I remain convinced Haye would spark him within 3 or 4 rounds at worst.
To beat Haye you need to be as mobile as him - you need to be able to avoid the stinging jab and the punches coming from all angles - if you can do that you stand a reasonable chance if of course you catch up with him.
Skelton would look to wear Haye down in the first half of the fight by being totally negative, by slimply clinching and mawling and wrestling his way though - Haye is too smart for that and would be far to quick and smart for a one dimensional Skelton who is European class at best!!!

I'm as mobile as Haye, but to be fair there aren't that many of us about

To beat Haye I think you need a shit-hot chin and tonnes of heart. I can't ever see him being out-skilled, but if he were to lose again, it's obviously by knock-out. Unless Haye tires badly against Skelton, he stops him or wins a very wide decision. I don't think Skelton could land a big shot on David unless David gets stupid, like he has before. If he picked Skelton off with nice little jabs and left-hooks then Skelton would cop a lot of punches, and perhaps be stopped on his feet. But if Haye got silly and tried getting Matt out of there unnecessarily (look at the Thompson fight for proof) then that could cause trouble. He would have to stick strictly to his game-plan against Matt or there could be hell for David - if he did though then expect an easy win for David, in my opinion.

Can't believe some of the drivel I am reading on here.
Firstly, Haye v Skelton is (or would be) a mismatch. Skelton has zero lateral movement and telegraphs his punches by shrugging his shoulders slightly and then trying to get the correct foot position. - normally his back foot is far too flat.
Secondly, frank is correct, Haye does have a hand problem - he can't grip a biro (or even a Mont Blanc fountain pen) to enable him to sign a contract with FW.
I can't see how David gets past Vital's rock between the feet jab but he has great balls for trying. Shame F wank can't show a smidgeon of goodwiill
