Is Rawling related to McAllister or what? He keeps bitching about Murray's roughhouse tactics - is he oblivious to McAllister's spoiling? I tell you what though - McAllister is a character all right! THough letting someone hit you repeatedly in the face is never advisable!

McAllister just couldn't cope with the pressure, Good win for Murray, i was impressed by him.
Never let the showboating get to him, and he looks to have a nasty streak in him.

I think Murray's proven he can beat a good fast mobile type of boxer. Calm, controlled pressure, gets better as the fight goes along. Nice finish. I think Murray has proven a lot and will go far.

McAllister maybe a bit angry due to the delay, bit overanxious and got away from his boxing. Small ring as well so harder to get out of the corners. Liked what i saw from McAllister. A good sport, a good personality, entertaining to watch. I was very impressed with what I saw of him. Hope to see him again on TV.

This is what I like to see about UK boxing. Tense, skilfull, exciting, competitve and an overall great effort from both sides. These kind of shows make those of FW pale by comparison, in terms of entertainment value.

Hoping for Murray v Thaxton for British and European titles. What a fight that will be. Romanov is Thaxton's mandatory but very unlikely that Yuri wants his old title back as his manager/promoter whatever said he has an option on Moses and plans to invoke it now that he's WBA champ.

Murray had success when McAllister stopped being mobile. He didn't have much success when McAllister used a lot of foot movement. I think Murray can be outboxed. The problem is maintaining it for 12 rounds.

I have to say though - Murray didn't use his jab nearly enough, was too predictable at times and took too many on the way in. I suppose thats his style but I remember a lot of people were predicting Murray would destroy Khan if they met after the Meager performance. After this fight I personally think Khan would be all wrong for Murray.

But - Murray won the fight. He takes the role of aggressor, and he did in fact step in with some hard jabs. Despite the roles, McAllister showed he could grit it out, and Murray showed competence as a boxer. Pressure fighters have to take shots as they come in, but I was impressed how Murray blocked a lot of shots, and timed McAllister, and in the end the pressure worked.

McAllister was quite a lot faster, so you have to slow down the fast fighter,to the body etc, and this is what ended up happening.

Regardless of what anyone thinks - great learning fight, that. For both fighters.

Hope Murray can be kept busy. And like I say, hopefully McAllister is back on TV soon.

Stunning fight, but Murray did struggle at time and like he said, he didn't panic and eventually his pressure got a hold of McAllister and he started to take over - I had Murray up by one when the fight got stopped. Great humility from McAllister too.

Thaxton would batter Murray

I disagree. McAllister's boxing created problems for Murray - Thaxton would fight more and get involved more. I could see Murray beating Thaxton on a UD. Thaxton is a lot more like Meager than he is to McAllister in terms of skill and outright boxing.

I agree Murray got better as the fight went on - I suppose I just felt he could have made the fight easier by jabbing more on his way in and letting the shots go in combinations as opposed to trying to time McAllister's jabs with single right hands. As you say good learning fight for him - I'd like to see Murray in with Lawton next as Lawton likes to box from the outside as well so we can see if Murray has learned from this fight and can be more consistent with his body attack.

I thought he came across as a bit of a pratt with his clowning during the fight and then not shutting up for the whole post fight interview.

Seems a decent guy, but he clearly wasn't in well prepared for this.

What a _ucken diddy, all McAllister had to do was BOX and he throws away a possible decision.

A good 'Slap in the Face' from his cornermen might have smartened him up... now he falls into the pages of never been.

Stupid Lad!
