If you are being induced into the contract because of a representation that it is Khan v Barrera (and not World Championship Boxing), if that statement proves to be a misrepresentation then there has clearly been a breach of contract, and that breach is repudiatory in nature, thus allowing you to cancel and claim a refund. On the facts here, it is clearly being presented as Khan v Barrera rather than an ordinary night of boxing, you'd definitely be entitled to a refund.

Dont you think Fwanks teaboy (Boxingchat) will make sure the ticket says World Championship Boxing or something along those lines. No way will it say Barrera Vs Khan, only on the poster!

In these circumstances, I don't think it makes much difference what the ticket actually says, you are clearly being induced to go and see Khan v Barrera. Its not as if the ticket is a written signed contract between promoter and audience member but rather reflective of what you have paid for, that ticket cannot unilaterally obliterate that.

I believe it will be the same someone purchasing a ticket to travel by train - you can get in the train for the journey, but you are not guaranteed a seat.

You buy a ticket saying 'World Championsho Boxing' and they serve up Enxzo Vs Gunn II and not Barrera/Khan.


Fwank will get round it, ALSO REMEMBER - if Barrera does not show up you may wel have paid out for Hotels etc and that will make sure you watch Enzo Vs Gunn II rather than waste the ticket!

You can't sue the Hotel even thought YOU know you came to see Khan vs Barera.
