Retire of face Froch, Dawson or, at a push, Wright.

Those are the only options in my opinion. fornicate calls for Erdei, Johnson and all that shit.

I would swap Hopkins for Wright from those three.... at Light Heavy, Wright is 0-1. Wrights time has past.

Retire is my call, I'd like to see Dawson or Hopkins - and I can see some appeal with Froch (atmosphere, all British and I think quite a comfy win).

Dawson I think adds to his legacy, cause I think there is a legitimate claim on him (not Hopkins) being the #1 Light Heavyweight... I think wins over two top 5 Light Heavyweights and the ring magazine Cruiserweight champion makes him more than "another Lacy". Hopkins could also add as it will answer the "I don't do rematches" thing. Froch doesn't add anything, he is just a British belt holder - same appeal really at Bute etc in terms of Legacy.

Although I think retirement is the option he will pick, and the option he should pick.

Dawson would be the best fight IMO, Wright was way above his best fighting weight against Hopkins and the only way he'd be enticed into a fight with Calzaghe is a ship load of money.

Possibly true, but he's still a decent name. More so than Johnson IMO, though obviously Glen is better at the weight, more comfortable.

I couldn't sit through a Calzaghe v Hopkins fight again!

I think its all about money for Joe. If he's offered big bucks, he will have one more bout. However, he should call it a day afterwards because Joe has stated he doesn't have the motivation or desire to train like he use to. At the highest level, its all about fractions & Calzaghe is playing a dangerous game if he's not 100% tuned into boxing when it comes down to fight time!

Joe still has the ability, the skills, but no one can defy nature, time catches us all, sooner or later (it will even catch up with B-Hop one day) so its only right Joe is taking his time over his decision.
