That will repair qiuck, its only a nick.

The fight will no doubt be postponed, with the MEN event going ahead too. They know what a big seller it will be, after all, so the more logical thing would be a later date for the Khan Barrera fight.

I think everyone is overlooking a major opportunity we have here right before our eyes. Barrera is cut...but his opponent Feudis Rojas came out unscathed. HELLO. Khan V Rojas at the MEN while Barrera's nick heals?

We all know without MAB it is not PPV - some would say even with him its not!!!

However - it is going to take something massive from SN to justify this show as PPV - its a shame because yet again boxing is going to suffer - so in that context I hope Mr W arren comes up with something.

Whilst I really hate SN's approach to the sport we all love, I haver to say that even I would be astonished if the Khan Barrera fight was not a done deal.
Having said that why the Barrera camp have said absolutely zero about it, and then proceeded with this fight, is baffling.
Jesus he was given the perfect excuse to walk away when the original opponent didn't shown at the weigh in.
Did Barrera mention the Khan fight at all after this debacle, in the post fight interview ?
It is all well and good throwing brown stuff at other Promotors (and let me say it isn't always unjustified) but in the case of SN this is where they fall down.
Someone from SN needs to tell Joe Public what's going on.

I kind of agree with the "why hasn't Barrera mentioned anything" talk but also why didn't he deny it?

Surely he has a PR team who know who's saying what about him and could confirm or rubbish any rumours.

Just seen the entire fight (thank you, torrent sites of dubious legality!) & once again I shall repeat what I said after Barrera's last win over a tomato can in China:

He looks about seventy. He's shot to fecking bits. I know Riddick Blowe -- whose dislike for Bolton's finest will no doubt lead him to inform us all that even this Rojas would put Khan over -- is due to turn up any second & shout me down again but:
1)Marco's timing was sooo far off in both his post-comeback tuneups,
2) his hands have slowed,
3) the footwork wasn't there,
4) the reflexes are waning
&
5) he is pudgy & lacks physical presence at lightweight.

He's even punching wider, he's not getting the body behind anything other than the left hook to the liver.

So I'll say it again: If there's nothing fishy going on & the cut heals & the Khan fight goes ahead, Marco is going to get arse-raped. People mention Juan Manuel Marquez is the same age, which is true, but Marco's naturally smaller, had thirty-odd fights more than him, turned pro three years earlier & has been in so many wars I can't even count them now.

As for why he agreed to this fight (& indeed the Ventura fight in China): he's so far out of condition/fighting trim he's been trying to work himself back into condition, whip himself into shape like the old timers did, for what he knows is going to be a long hard night.

What weight was this fight at?

Barrera is offered silly money, Khan wins a TKO4 on cuts wins the WBO Eliminator, gets a rematch delayed a few times then demands its at 140, Barrera is even older, innactive still, Young Khan beats up the frail aged 122lber, then fights a 36yo Nate Campbell whos waiting for the winner (who was ofcourse ko'd by the average Peden), Warren wins purse bids, Mickey Van lets Amir have a 30second count after a KD, and AMir beats him by controversal SD to become LW CHamp.

Amir Khan then faces P4P (cough cough throwup) King Ricky HAtton in a battle of Britain.

Just watched all the fight .. and yes, barrera looks very - very slow .. his footwork and his punches were scary slow :(

Couldn't agree more, we've said this before. We have not had one quote from MAB or his team so what the f*** is FW doing spouting all this shit when to be honest the fight has never been clear.

Although I have to say - in this particular case I honestly think the fight was made - but just to make it clear I am sure "Boxing Tw*t" has access to some form of unequivocal evidence to put our minds at peace!!!

The Mexican media certainly seem to think the fight was on - they think there was a conspiracy to change the opponent from original decent fighter to someone hopeless to make sure nothing went wrong.
I don't think you can read to much into how he was in that fight. It was like a public sparring session.

His opponent seemed quite happy at the end of it, smiling and posing etc, did he even know he had been disqualified?

I reckon Khan will stop a slow, faded and much smaller Barrera, then they hype about Khan will explode again, then he will get walloped by the first naturally same size fighter who has a decent dig. It's more certain that anything.
